This was my first ever experience of a sexual health clinic. I felt really awkward when I first walked in - I did not know what to expect but I expected privacy. There was no reception in the typical sense, instead there was a room of about 3-4 people with an A4 reception sign. Everyone was friendly and courteous however no one took the time to explain the process , they asked very intrusive questions around sexual behaviour as if it’s normal. I expected these questions having walked into a sexual health clinic however I did not expect to answer them in the context I did. I would have liked to see more sensitivity and empathy from the staff especially during the examination. Also, I had 2 members of staff during my examination - I left the room to give my urine sample and when I came back there was a 2nd member of staff. No reason or explanation was given for her presence - this made me feel awkward and I thought it was unprofessional. I was just asked load of questions, they took my blood and urine sample and said I could leave. An explanation around this would made me feel comfortable and valued.

They were reassuring made me feel at ease. Sorted my problem out with the greatest of dignity. Calmed me down after I got upset and she was really nice to talk to

I recently attended the clinic in order for advice and to be tested. I suffer from anxiety however when I initially called my mind was put to ease and the member of staff who I spoke to was very helpful and guided me on what to expect as well as giving me clear directions. During my appointment I was given good advice. I've called up a few times and all of the receptionists who I have spoken to have been very professional and helpful. On my second time attending the clinic I spoke to a very polite member of staff named Jessica (who was also the person I spoke to the first time which I called). Jessica took the time to explain things to me in order to ensure that I understood everything and all my questions were answered, she was very pleasant to speak with and gave me good advice. All in all a fantastic service. Thank you for all the hard work that you do all staff at the clinic!

Sue was really kind and explained everything in detail. The environment was very welcoming and all the staff I interacted with were professional.

Please continue to do weekend appointments in the future as it is imperative for people like myself who work long hours in the week and rely on weekends to visit and receive treatment.

I realise it’s still new but having no plasters and hand writing on the containers rather than print outs appears a step back to the old days before Russels Hall. The staff were brilliant but think they could do with help from those above before they get annoyed with chaos and leave. Waiting times are not as good as Russell Hall. I hope this improves when more staff are there.

I have been to this facility first time. I was really impressed by the quick and quality treatment that I received. I would really recommend it to any body having any specific problem to go discuss with them in a comfortable environment and with full confidentiality. Thanks to all staff you are all amazing.
