Very difficult to get through on the phone, despite calling at 8.00am

I really appreciate being able to get an appointment at the surgery on the same day (Mon 7/11/2022) and the thorough and caring way I was treated by Dr [name removed]. I also appreciate that I was referred to the TIA clinic immediately. Also good is that the TIA clinic contacted me within 24 hours of the referral. Not so good : 1. The clinic was unable text me to confirm the appointment despite the fact that TIAs often result in memory malfunction. 2. It is a great pity that the TIA clinic was only able to offer me an appointment in Lancaster on Friday, (11/11/2022) some four days after the referral, when time is of the essence regarding potential TIAs.

My dad has double dementia, and until recently we were caring for him at home. Nurse practitioner [name removed] and team, (unsure of surname) did regular home visits to help us care for dad. She put in place everything we needed and provided the care and support for us all along the way. All questions were answered and she made it easier to understand his dementia and what we needed for home care. He is now in Summerhill, which again, [name removed] sorted for us. She eased our pressure whilst caring for him at home. She is an asset to any drs practice. Thank you so much for making a difficult situation easier to cope with. She is an amazing person doing a job that not everyone can do.
