I’ve got a slight speech impediment and everybody was very understanding when I was talking, nice professional place through out.

Dr [name removed] was incredibly attentive, as was the nurse who assisted her, as well as comforting when I was experiencing pain from the procedure. They both made me feel very comfortable and I felt that I was well informed about what was happening and why. Both ladies are a credit to the practice.

Had to book way out, got a telephone consult but got it changed to face to face as it was complicated with things to show. No problem, receptionist flexible.
Excellent consultation, issue discussed and plan made for management in the short term and what to do if back up needed.

Really disappointed I made appointment on Monday for blood test for husband [name removed] and myself . Arrived slightly early apparently my husband hadn’t been booked in . [name removed] explained that I said I was worried abou my husband sugar levels she said she would ask the nurse or whoever s, she said it was ok . On being called in we found the nursing assistant quite rude and abrupt and said we were going to make her run late . I explained the so nicely and that the receptionist had made a mistake and she had asked it was ok . She replied that she hadn’t been asked .
So I was quite abrupt her and told her the fault wasn’t ours but the surgery . She did the bloods quickly and efficiently and her manner was nice and it didn’t take long at all . My husband is disabled and suffers from anxiety so this experience was quite distressing and made him angry .He didn’t say anything because he would have been really rude . We remained courteous and pleasant with the nurse because reaction wouldn’t have achieved anything . So disappointing mistakes happen and I appreciate that but the attitude of the nurse was in my opinion not acceptable

Usually my review on James Cochrane are excellent apart from the appointment system which is nationwide problem .

Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
