Feel I am very much involved in my care....practitioners accept your frame of reference and take that on board in consideration of your treatment and support plan. Signposts and explanations of hierarchy of Morecambe bay were given- helpful! I always feel genuinely understood and supported at JCP!

Given time and financial constraints of NHS ....I really can't think of what else you guys can do!

We recently saw PN Rachel for new born injections, she is a credit to your practice, she was knowledgeable and put us at ease! 10/10! Thank you! Dr [name removed] is also approachable and took time to answer questions when I was squeezed in to the end of his clinic recently (after attending the pharmacy service). Great staff, we are lucky to have you!

We had a previous appointment cancelled due to GP sickness. Reception staff left a message which I didn’t receive. So I turned up for 6 week check with newborn. Would’ve appreciated a second attempt.

It is relatively easy to get a follow up appointment but more difficult to get an appointment for a new medical condition. It concerns me that older patients may be too easily put off pursuing a medical concern.

Saw the pharmacist first, who recommended I saw a GP. Receptionist identified that there was an on the day appointment available that day.

In my case the person I saw needed to refer/discuss with another Dr after my visit. I didn’t have a problem with this. They said that they would text me the outcome about 5.00pm which they did. The text came through and I was advised that a prescription would be sent. This is where improvements could be made. It was approaching the weekend, I wasn’t able to return to Helme Chase during the remaining practice hours. However I called in the Pharmacy next door and asked if they were able to obtain my prescription, they said they couldn’t and I needed to wait until Monday to obtain my prescription from Helme Chase. If there could be a better method for sending a prescription rather than having to collect during your opening hours. I appreciate there needs to be secure methods, but if the patient could be asked at the time of seeing the practitioner where would they like their prescription sending too ie the pharmacy next door or if they could be given a unique QR code to present to the pharmacy, this would cut down the delay of waiting a whole weekend. These are suggestions for further process improvements which may or may not be possible.
