During the last 18 months or so I've always found that I've been able to book a face to face appointment if needed. These have generally been within 1-3 days but and even same day when the appointment is for my baby.
I've found all the doctors, except for one, have taken the time to understand whatever the issues was and were very supportive.
I attended an appointment today - I had placed 2 queries online and when offered an appointment I was told to discuss everything at my appointment (I was told to do this by the receptionist who phoned and offered me the appointment.
I ended up seeing Dr Chouhdry - whom I had seen in the past and I was not happy with it. My appointment was with her again. Upon arrival she was running late - when I saw her I spoke to her about my facial lesions and i felt fobbed off with the responses, to try alternative creams (which I already had), but I kept quiet as I could see I was not getting any advice or help different to what I was told the last time and what I already knew.
I requested medication I was informed to get post surgery (I had already sent my letter through) - this wasnt uploaded onto the system properly. She printed the prescriptions as requested and told me to make an appointment for the B12 injection.
I also had an awful cough which was causing pain on my post surgery incisions. When I started to explain this I was told to stop and make another appointment as she was running late. Being a mother of 2 toddlers - one disabled child and one with autism - working full time and being post surgery - time is definitely not a luxury for me. I was told to explain everything to the GP at my appointment. It would have taken 2 minutes to check my chest as I am very rattly and every time I cough one of my stitches is really painful and I was worried about a possibly hernia (which I was told to be aware of). She was really rude and said she is running late and I need to book in with reception for another appointment. Again - running late is not my problem. She was running late to see me. Appointments go quite quickly. At reception I was told there were no more appointments and to call or send a request the next working day or call 111. When I was already there and literally took 2 minutes to look at the incision check my chest - the GP response was really poor. I remember my very first appointment took literally 2 minutes - and I was seeing the same GP for the same condition. I will definitely not be seeing her again. She was rude and just keen to get me out of the door ASAP.
I was trying to find out about my wife's care. She has dementia and is in a local nursing home. I seem to be totally excluded from any information. It is virtually impossible to contact the surgery via the website. A phone call to the surgery was pointless, the receptionist kept saying I had to use the website.
the website is an absolute nightmare to access around it ...
it says the message service is open from 6.30 am .. wrong doesn't come up till 8 am ..
when registering it tells you send picture ID, then take ID to surgery to confirm .. to get your login details wrong ... they email your login details
did this ... the receptionists didn't know what I was talking about ...
on support ... tells you how to book appt . the page shown does not come up
so much info is wrong on website and they wonder why people write reviews like this
all there is to contact on line is the message form
I have been at this surgery for a long time along with my family. As always today the drs were outstanding and dealt with my grandson and daughter with care and empathy. At all times I have found that treatments have been wholly appropriate.Thankyou
