I can never get an appointment with a GP!

Give me an appointment with a GP! I am always seen by a nurse, why?

Medicine changes are made and just phoned to me without my being able to discuss it. I have an eye condition that I had to ask my optician to refer me to ASES for despite my telling the practice nurses about on three occasions over the past years. Now I am almost blind and needing a corneal transplant and will have that done on the 13th March at Addenbrookes. I do feel that I am not really listened to unless I have something very simple.

Please listen to the patient. Don’t dismiss what the patient says just because you may not have heard of the condition.

Long time to get through and then to be told phone again tomorrow as appointments all gone

The last 12 months, I have not been able to fault the surgery at all. The times I have put a triage request through, it has been answered within the hour and promptly dealt with. The staff at the surgery helped me massively through a tough time last year.

I don’t think anything can be done better as like I said before I can not fault the surgery.
