We have just moved back into the area after 4 years away. Very pleased to be back with The Old Town Surgery and Dr Gonzales.
All good.
I feel the receptionists at the Old Town practice need a special commendation.
Unlike many surgeries (and I have moved around extensively in England) they are always helpful and take time to deal with each patient calmly and kindly. I think they are all wonderful. Thank you.
I attend the surgery for a PMR review every 3 months. This involves a blood test followed a few days later by a review with Nicki Brooks. I cannot fault the care given. I feel supported in every way with the PMR- it is a strange condition (for me) which affects both physical and to some extent, mental health. I usually see either Verity or Sue for the blood test. They are very friendly, yet professional. Nicki Brooks is always interested in how I am managing the condition, plus weight loss and cholesterol levels. I know I am involved in any decisions and am so grateful for her continued care.
So we waited for one hour as we thought we would try and go early because I couldn't stop feeling sick and being pregnant is not good for my baby for a dr whilst I was being repeatedly sick asking the receptionist 4 times if they can give me my pill I need, or a repeat prescription which she kept saying the dr needs to see you first. So after 30 minutes delay from our actual appointment time we went in to see the Dr who said you should have just asked the receptionist for a repeat prescription and you could have had it straight away. So thank you receptionist for keeping me there for an hour watching me feel sick four times and then all you can say is I'm sorry maybe you should learn how to do your job or ask someone next time. I will defiantly be changing surgeries.
