Despite some people having trouble getting appointments, dealing with LCS is very good. AND…… nice receptionists too which is a great plus. Thank you for your care ❤️

I cannot fault how easy it was to make the appointment and on the day I had very little wait before my blood test. The fact that with the Patients Know Best app I could see my results that same afternoon is very impressive and a waste improvement on the previous 1 or 2 week wait and then needing to phone the surgery.

Suggested improvements
However, I had been told by Dr. Rubery's registrar Dr. Akin after my previous blood test that my thyroxin levels were low and would need monitoring (in addition to a high cholesterol level). However, although I did mention this at the time of booking the 3 month follow up test, only the cholesterol has been tested for this time? I am concerned about this as I have a family history of thyroid problems.

I have no complaints I’m always cheated with the upmost courtesy and professionalism

The music in reception, I find quite intrusive, and certainly not relaxing. I would advise some nice gentle music rather than pop music. Having said that I have an old woman!!!

Personally as a family we really don’t ask for an appointment with a doctor unless all other methods of self treatment through a pharmacist have failed but we find it so frustrating to have to then just have a telephone appointment then maybe a prescription issued then if that fails you are then given an appointment. Just feel like so many problems patients have could result in them feeling like us and giving up on trying to be seen and that could end up being a such a tragedy for both patient and their doctor. On saying all this I can’t fault them for their recent response to a problem I have had which has resulted in being seen rapidly.

Suggested improvements
So many friends have shared the same problems and frustrations at each of their own surgeries so I guess it’s just sadly the way it is now.
