Share review of Little Common Surgery
Following a leg injury with broken skin and the injury site being hot to the touch, my wife was worried that I might have an infection. She phoned the surgery at 0800 Tuesday to get in the queue and the doctor called back at 0840; we gave him details and he asked if we could come in for 0900. He took my temperature and blood oxygen level, inspected the injury, gave me a tetanus jab, and prescribed strong antibiotics. We collected them from Pebsham Pharmacy on our way home and I was sitting down indoors by 1030 (I mention all of this as I know that many people registered with other practices do not enjoy this level of service).
An appointment was made for re-dressing by the practice nurse on Friday and this was carried out carefully. She asked me all the appropriate questions and offered me the choice of a further visit or self-management of the injury; I chose the former.
