I have a chest infection and inquired as to an appointment. Reception were excellent and after explaining my symptoms they arranged an appointment same day with my GP.

No room for improvement, I was very well looked after.

I didn’t expect a face to face appointment, knowing how stretched surgeries are. But after filling in an online consultation I was contacted with an emergency face to face appointment.

I had to receive a shingles vaccination and the practice nurse was superb: friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and supportive. The practice is always clean and clinical and the staff have always been very helpful and professional and I have been a patient at this practice for 28 years and would recommend it to anyone.

The only slight issue, if anything, is the fact that you can’t always arrange a face-to-face appointment when you need one, say within ten days of phoning in, which is why I give 4 stars rather than 5 stars on the final question. But this is more to do with the current national pressure on GP practices and is no reflection whatsoever on Imeary practice. Also, the use of telephone appointments goes some way in countering the issue, as well as the wider choice of methods to make appointments, such as online as well as phoning-in.
