I feel like the manner of one of the receptionists could be better. I found her to be very rude with an abrupt tone. Not friendly and welcoming like the other ones I have encountered. Not good if you are ringing up and suffer with anxiety using the phone or trying to book an appointment in person, last thing you need.
Listening to patients would be very helpful, and to also request what a patient may ask for. Example, particular blood work, or different treatment options without pressure.
Receptionists should be given more training in how to speak to patients, and to not give false remarks or advice. This includes test results as well as when asking about booking appointments (phone consultation included)
Visited surgery to order medication on behalf of a family member on Thursday am (04.12.2014) who is a patient at Farnham Medical Centre. Receptionist extremely unhelpful and didn't listen to my request, and just dismissed me. On hearing her speak to another patient who said she would nominate her on iWantGreatCare, the Receptionist changed her attitude immediately!!!! On being a visitor to this surgery in no way would I recommend this to other family members.
