I am puzzled why when my husband went to Lloyds Pharmacy to collect my repeat prescription . He was told my prescription had been blocked. I phoned the surgery and spoke to Alex who was as amazed as we were that this could happen. I left it with him and he said he would deal with it and get the repeat printed and get it signed or authorised as it is nowadays with all the technology at our fingertips by 3 o'clock. I didn't phone I went to the Pharmacy and asked if they had received my prescription. The pharmacist told me she had not had anything sent over from the surgery. I went back to the surgery to collect my prescription the receptionist look in all the folders and there was nothing there for me. The receptionist asked for help from somebody in the upstairs office. Eventually I found out this had happened because I had missed a review. A few weeks ago my husband had a phone call from the surgery telling him he needed to attend the surgery for his r eview. I did not get a call telling me about my review. I cannot understand why I wasn't reminded my review was due. When I make an appointment to see the doctor we receive a text message immediately. Surely it would make sense to remind people that there review is due when some months have gone by since since the appt. was made. The person from the upstairs office did get my prescription for me at about 5 15 pm This had taken all day. I needed my tablets if I didn't they wouldn't have been prescribed in the first place I haven't had any problems before usually I have nothing but praise for the Beversbrook Medical Centre.
