Dear Doctor Whitehead,
This is a belated note to say many thanks for your very rapid response last Friday 4 June to my message explaining that I had fallen downstairs and was in severe pain and unable to walk. You kindly wrote a letter to Epsom A&E which my wife collected and we managed to check into the hospital straight away. Your comprehensive, succinct letter was key to instant attention and all the medical staff were efficient, patient and helpful. I had a a blood test and then an Xray which proved inconclusive so the next step was a CT scan
which was unable to find any bone damage. The bruising was apparently severe and they stressed I had been lucky.
In all I was there for 5.5 hours but I wanted to place on record my appreciation to you for your rapid initial response which made the rest slip into place. Now I have an awfully painful leg and thigh but it could have been so much worse.
Once again, many thanks!
Yours, Alan Kingston

I feel I need to say thank you to the receptionists and doctors.
Whenever I go on-line to request a call - which isn't often - I receive a quick response and generally get a call from the doctor within 1 to 2 hours.
I feel confident that I will be contacted and am dealt with thoroughly and if a prescription is required it is sent through to my local Boots pharmacy immediately.
Recently I had to call as the antibiotic I had been prescribed was making me ill and again within 20 mins of my call the doctor phoned me, we discussed and my drugs were amended.
Everyone is very quick to criticise and I think, particularly at the moment, we need to praise our practice in Ashtead, they are truly amazing.
When I listen to other family and friends who attend different practices there is no comparison to Ashlea Medical Practice in Ashtead. A great time and I appreciate all their help.
I had a small wound on my leg, initially this was dealt with by telephone and by my sending in photos of my leg. Then one of the nurses decided to see me in her consulting room, and debrided the scab, asked a GP to come in and see the wound, and then dressed it, providing me with a spare dressing to manage it at home. A further appointment was made, and a spare dressing provided.
Throughout the whole procedure I was treated with respect, and kept informed about the treatment.
Today I had my first winter flu vaccine along with several other people. I found the organisation, from the booking and text reminder to the general easy flow in and out of the practise very well orchestrated.
