Mr Shah has replaced both my hips at Guys hospital, the first was october 2014 I was up walking on the same day and left after three nights the scar healed after seven days and I was walking without a limp after a few weeks. I was able to resume my sport of racing a sailing dinghy a few months later with no problems at all. My recent hip replacement was on November 5th 2016 and I was walking up and down stairs the day after with the aid of one crutch I left hospital after only a two night stay my recovery is on target,I can not thank Mr Shah enough for his skills in allowing me to carry on my life pain free. Mr Shah always listened to me and is approachable I would highly recommend him.

I first met Mr Shah in August because of some discomfort I had in my left hip. I had a total hip replacement five years earlier by a different consultant. After x-rays and a bone scan Mr Shah suggested a revision hip replacement within a year as the original implant was lose. I had a successful revision hip replacement in October by Mr Shah. Even though the recovery from revision hip replacements is supposedly longer, I have recovered quicker than expected and after six weeks I am now pain free - I only have slight discomfort after longer walks - and can walk around the house without a crutch. Mr Shah has been polite and courteous throughout the whole experience always taking time to answer questions in great detail and alleviate any worries.

Mr Zameer Shah, Surgeon, performed a complete hip replacement at Guys Hospital on 15 October 2016. The result has been a complete success. I left hospital with heavy painkillers but had stopped using them by the third week as the pain was a lot less than it had been before the operation. Six weeks later I am walking normally, only getting a bit of an ache after an hour or so, but this improves daily. I do not need a stick nor am I limping. No restrictions were imposed on activity on leaving the hospital - except not to do the can-can ! Mr Shah has a great reputation in the hospital and from my experience it is fully justified and I can only thank him for doing such a good job..

Confidence and trust is what any Patient seeks to establish with their consultant, in my opinion, and Mr Shah provided that in buckets! He and his colleagues brought immediate relief from a long overdue hip replacement operation and has been a guiding light to my recovery since. I would no hesitate to recommend Mr Shah to anyone who is seeking a hip replacement. If my experience is anything to go by, they could not be in better hands.

Well where do I start. This man is exceptional! He preformed a total knee replacement, on my left knee, approximately 4 years ago, which has given me a new zest of life pain free. Following a fall from my garage roof 3 years ago, where I had several severe injuries one being a shattered right knee cap which was wired up at Barnet Hospital, Mr Shah removed the wire last year in July before performing a total knee replacement in December 2015. I am still on the road to recovery but am able do all I want, pain free. I thank you Zameer Shah for all you have done for me. A remarkable man! Luigi
