Mr Ellis carried out a complete knee replacement on 30.04.19. Prior to the operation Mr Ellis explained the results of the MRI without baffling me with medical terms. Due to having had treatment for 2 years it was decided that a knee replacement would be the best option. I cannot praise the care I received from Mr Ellis and his team highly enough. He/they were all friendly and approachable and though it is only 2 weeks post op I am already virtually pain free. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Ellis to anyone experiencing the issues I had and can honestly say I wish more people in his profession had his very kind approach.

Just home from a half knee replacement performed by Mr Simon Ellis at the Spire Alexander Hospital. Right from my very first consultation he has been exemplary in explaining and guiding me towards the best operation for me due to my age at 50. He listened intently and gave me his knowledge and years of experience to help make my own decision, which I was very appreciative of. Every part of my process with him, his team and the Alexander has been very efficient and my treatment has been second to none. My GP, Dr Sewell has guided me too and I was lucky enough to have my care via the NHS referral with Mr Ellis fully supporting this. I was anxious about my surgery but with the care and attention I received really should not have been. I am doing as I am told with my exercises so that I can meet my end of the bargain and get the best recovery before I go back to see Mr Ellis in 6 weeks. Thank you for everything, to be out of pain eventually will be such a blessing.

Excellent care and attention given from initial consultation thru to surgery and aftercare post op check up.
Warm friendly manner puts you at ease right from the start. That was a major plus factor with me as I am not keen on hospitals or the medical profession as a rule.
Mr Ellis is obviously a warm friendly kind considerate person at heart and that comes thru in his work.
If my right knee needed doing at some point in the future I hope that he is still available to do it!

Mr Ellis was wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He explained everything fully and listened to any concerns that I had. I trusted him totally which meant that I had my operation with the minimum anxiety possible.
