As Mr Ellis did my first knee replacement which went very well I wanted him to do my second one. I was very pleased with my treatment and he is a very good surgeon and he put me at ease regarding the operation and after care. I am very happy with the way it has gone and would not hesitate in recommending him to friends and family. Thank you Bernhard Jordan

Mr Ellis is really kind and has a lovely Manner. He did my full knee replacement. He fully explained the procedure and the recovery. I am very pleased with the care I received. And when I need the left knee doing I will be asking for him again. H. Burton

From my first appointment with Mr Ellis I was confident to go ahead with my total knee replacement. He spoke clearly with authority and I felt calm. He explained everything and answered all my questions. His voice was like our Farv Owen so I loved him immediately. The care from the minute I arrived till now as I am leaving has been wonderful, Mr Ellis has visited and confirmed that all is well. The physio girls were great, if you do as they tell you then will go home quicker feeling that you are in control. A massive thank you to Mr Ellis and all at Spire Alexander

Thank you very much for this kind review. I am glad to know that you felt my voice was calming. Patients coming to discuss potential knee surgery and bound to feel anxious and I consider it my role to ensure the whole process minimises their stress. With kind regards Simon Ellis

I took my son to meet Mr Ellis following a report from his GP saying he needed to see a consultant urgently as he had a suspected . Obviously we were both worried Avulsion fracture. After considerable care in examining my son along with a very thorough explanation as to the problem with his knee, we left completely satisfied and well informed. Thankfully no further appointments are needed, however I would happily return if I ever need the services of an Orthopaedic Surgeon. I must point out that, he was exceptional in how he involved my son and in general spoke mostly with him as the patient and not me as the pushy father!

It is fair to say my knee replacement was not straight forward as I already had metal work in my knee and femur. Also after the operation I got an infection that saw me back in hospital for five days but these things happen. I have had pain in my knee for over 30 years something I have got use to since my incident with a train ( not a good idea ) but six months before my new knee replacement my leg started to give way with no warning and resulted with me falling to the ground. Since my new knee replacement in June 19 my leg has not given way once and I can keep up my normal activities which involve a lot of walking and carrying items over rough ground. The care I received from Mr Ellis can not be faulted and I very much appreciate being able to get on with my life. Due to the complications with my operation Mr Ellis did discharge me until Jan 20 proving to me he cares about his patient's. I would like to end this review by saying a big thank you to Mr Simon Ellis and if someone out there needs a new knew he is your man.

Thank you very much for this feedback, the recovery from joint replacement can be very hard particularly after previous knee surgery. I am delighted that 6 months down the line you are pleased with the outcome. With kind regards SImon Ellis
