I hurt my knee and after MRI it was determined that it was a meniscus tear.
I had op to fix it and 10 weeks later I am back playing Vets football and have done a couple of short Triathlons, in preparation for doing a Ironman in 12 weeks. without Simon Ellis skills that wouldn't be the case.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review and share your experience with others. I am delighted that you have done so well following your surgery. Good luck with the Ironman. Kind regards Simon Ellis
I have been troubled for a very long time with knee problems. I had a operation 45 years ago to remove the cartilage from my left knee, this has resulted in a moderately arthritic joint. Recently, I tore the cartilage in the right knee, which resulted in a big problem for me. I was unable to walk long distances and was not able to play sport etc.
I was very fortunate to be assigned to Ashford 1 Hospital, under Mr Simon Ellis. He very quickly got me through X-rays, scans etc. The conclusion was, I needed an Arthroscopy on my right knee & the possibility of a joint replacement on left knee.
The Arthroscopy was performed with great success. This has now allowed me to perform most tasks I require.
Mr Ellis is now assessing the left knee & is confident he may be able to alleviate surgery at this time.
My experiences with Mr Ellis have been first class. The information I received and his understanding of my situation along with the guidance & care throughout the whole procedure was excellent.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review and sharing your experience with others. I am very pleased that the arthroscopy has been successful and will continue to manage your left knee arthritis as required. Wiht kind regards Simon Ellis
I saw Mr Ellis on 19/06/2018,who I have known for several years as a colleague,on this occasion I was a patient, within 24hours,I had Consultation,MRI,Aspiration&Injection Steroid to my Right Knee,Mr Ellis, was very professional, understanding and above all he listened, allowing me time to ask questions,he explained in very clear detail, the action plan we were going to follow. It has been one week, since seeing him,my knee feels fantastic,I had my first Physio today, which Mr Ellis recommend.
I would highly recommend Mr Ellis,to all my family and friends,he is extremely knowledgeable and reassuring,he has a very pleasant manner
Thank you very much for writing this review. It is always a boost to know that colleagues come and see me and place their trust in my clinical ability particularly when I receive feedback of this nature. With kind regards Simon Ellis
Mr Simon Ellis replaced my left knee a few years ago at The Spire Alexandra in Chatham and I am very grateful for the care he has given me.
I was very lucky to have been referred to him on the NHS.
Having seen him again for my other knee (a partial knee replacement that was done in London years ago) I feel really reassured by his caring manner.
I highly recommend this surgeon .
Thank you very much for this review. I am pleased that your total knee replacement remains good for you and I am glad you found the advice about the partial knee replacement which was carried out in London helpful. With kind regards Simon Ellis
Simon Ellis gave me a full left knee replacement nearly 10 years ago when I was aged 50. It has been a huge success and I have lived life to the full ever since.
Unfortunately for me my right knee has degenerated and, as I approach 60, I now need it replaced. I would not let anyone else touch my knees!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. I will continue to take good care of you and I hope that the outcome of your next knee replacement is as good as the first has been. With kind regards Simon Ellis
