Mr Parsons is a great consultant has helped and offered frank honest advice whenever I have seen him. I’ve read other reports and yes sometimes notes are not available but this is not his fault. He does not file them. Keep them safe etc. As far as his professional ethics and standards go - you couldn’t get better.
Yes sometimes clinic run late but he’s a busy man! Overstretched as with all NHS staff
I can't help but feel that my gynaecology issues which cause me relentless pain are sidelined due to other health issues. I had every confidence in Mr Parsons until I was discharged for a whole year. I do have the option to return sooner, but I would only be returning saying the same thing as I did on my Quality of Life Questionnaire (has it been read?), and on the day I was discharged. In this respect I would concur that it may be necessary to repeat oneself ad nauseum and refuse to be made to keep coming back as clearly things are becoming unnecessarily protracted. I would prefer a more can do approach.I was devastated to be discharged for a whole year and angry that this was done whilst trying to flatter me.
Made me wait hours to be seen and did not have my notes. Dreadful
Made me wait over 4 hours to see him. Didn't have my notes, was next to useless.
Went elsewhere
I find Mr Parsons is a very professional kind and caring consultant. I have been under Mr Parsons for approximately 4 years now and have a very good patient/consultant relationship. He has carried out numerous bladder operations on me and I always feel in safe hands.
Only negative comment is sometimes I feel treatments are not offered readily to try and help me unless I keep saying how bad my illness is getting and how it is affecting my life. Sometimes feel like it is a case of see him at the appointment and then just go away for 3 months until the next appointment.
Overall though Mr Parsons is a brilliant consultant and I wouldn't change him for another consultant.
