I went into Birmingham womens from the QE A&E with Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome and was in for a week. The nursing staff on the gynaecology ward were so brilliant at keeping an eye on me, being wonderfully friendly, keeping up morale and making sure my consultant always knew what was happening during my stay. Wonderful team and I felt very cared for.
Great experience
I highly highly recommend Mr Jeve. I had treatment on 14th of July, and I'm very very happy.
He's one of the best doctors which explain everything very clearly and he cares about his patients health, that's why I felt very very comfortable with him asking different questions about my treatment.
The clinical staff was very very supportive and understanding. There was always somebody coming and checking if everything is alright, or if I need anything.
After the surgery when I woke up I had something to drink and eat and start walking straight away. I've been discharged home after one hour and a half because I hadn't got any pain at all. His hands make miracles.
Mr Jeve is one of the Best Doctors where you get the best treatment and no pain.
I Highly Highly recoment Dr Jeve!!!
A huge thank you to the breast screening service unit at Birmingham Hospital where my journey began. My lump was detected on a routine mammogram, for which I’m very grateful as I could not feel any lumps or bumps. Thank you to Marylin for looking after me during my first mammogram & then after during the biopsies. Marylin made sure I was comfortable during the mammogram & biopsy, her positive happy approach most certainly made me feel at ease. Thank you to the very professional Dr Walker, for everything from the ultrasound, to biopsies, and insertion of the wire which enabled my lumpectomy surgery to be smooth. Thank you to all the staff in the breast unit for the amazing job you do. So grateful for the routine mammogram service as without it things could’ve been so different, it is incredibly important not to neglect these scans as they can really make all the difference! I’m eternally grateful.

The majority of staff that cared for me before and after my surgery were fantastic. Unfortunately one or two staff were inpatient with me- but maybe I could write that off as we are mid pandemic.
Can’t fault the food service.
Cleaning was slightly hit and miss, considering the circumstances I had hoped surface wipe downs ect would have been more regular. I would have happily wiped down the toilet after use had there been wipes for this.
One lady inparticular, TARA HALE, on ward 8 went above and beyond and made me feel cared for when no family were allowed in. She is amazing.
Exceptional hospital, with brilliant staff.
If you care anything about your health lady's do NOT except any appointments at this hospital. Remember this is a teaching hospital and the amount of gynocology students are everywhere without you even knowing it! So when your in surgery you know nothing of who's in the room or who's performing what on YOUR body. You have every right to say no to students being in theatre.
Pros: None
Cons: missing paper work, Rude staff , uneducated staff, dirty blood stains on beds, theatre staff with Mobile phones , lack of choice, the list goes on!
This hospital is simply a joke, and as for new management I wish them luck....
Appalling hospital.
Catalogue of errors, advice would be to use the local NHS as any complaint is not dealt with as it would be by the local trust.
Discharged from hospital in worse state than I went in.
Go elsewhere or better still, have your baby at home in safety.
The care could not have been improved on Ward 8
Everyone from Miss Latthe, the staff nurses, students, domestics, chaplaincy and ward clerks were excellent
Kind, listened, empathetic, knowledgeable, treated with respect and dignity
