I first met Dr. Pereira in 2017 when I had my First DBS surgery for Generalised Dystonia, and in 2019 second DBS was implanted under his tremendous impressive care at St George’s. I am extremely happy with the outcome of the operations as the quality of my life is hugely improved. Recently, when I was aboard, I experienced severe pain in my lower back and right leg that affected my mobility and sleep. And a scan showed that I had a spinal cord tumor. After I let Dr. Pereira’s team know, they were unimaginably caring and worry about me. They asked me to come back as soon as possible because it might cause more problems, and while I was aboard, they organised admission for urgent laminectomy surgery. And the operation was successfully done after everything is clearly explained to me by Dr. Pereira and his brilliant staff. I know I never can thank him and his team enough for what they have done for me during the last four years whenever I need them, they stand up, and they saved my life more than once. I feel like they are more than doctors they are my family.

Tremendously impressive care given with a series of bank injections. Particularly impressed with the team at the London Spine Clinic who looked after me very well. Still waiting to be "cured" with treatment but I feel in safe hands with Mr Pereira.

I had DBS with Mr Pereira in December 2020. Following an online consultation I felt more informed and relieved about the operation, as he was patient and thorough as I had alot of concerns and questions. Even though our stay in London was very long due to Covid problems and obstacles, Dr. Pereira's kindness and expertise put me at ease throughout the whole experience. There was great communication with Mr Pereira, he really was just a phone call away. My treatment from Mr Pereira and the staff in the hospital was fantastic.

I first met with Dr Erlick Pereira by zoom consultancy in October 2020, having been referred to him by Dr Richard Walsh, Consultant Neurologist, and team leader in DBS at the DNI (Dublin Neurological Institute), Mater Hospital, 57 Eccles Street, Dublin 7. I would like to add in here, that I am from Ireland and as yet, the DBS operation has not been undertaken in the Republic of Ireland and so all Parkinson patients wishing to have the DBS operation, have to travel to England for the procedure. Dr Pereira explained the whole DBS procedure to us, which included possible negatives (these were in very small percentages). As I had decided I wanted to go for the DBS procedure, and had already fulfilled all the necessary criteria (in Dublin) Dr Pereira said he could do the procedure (operation) in The London Clinic (20 Devonshire Place) London on Wednesday 11th November 2020. My husband and I travelled to London in late October as we had to ‘isolate’ there for two weeks before the operation. A few days prior to the operation on 11th November, we taxied in to the London Clinic for our first visit and we were tested for Covet and I underwent all the scans requested by Dr Pereira. As per arrangement, I arrived at the London Clinic on Wednesday 11th November and was booked in. Dr Pereira met with us both in my room before the operation, introduced us to the anaesthetist Dr Tan, explained his time schedule to us and said he would come and speak with my husband immediately after the operation. I was scheduled for four nights stay in the Clinic to include one night in ICU. Commencing around 3.30, the operation took about four hours and then I was held in the ICU unit for the night, where, I received the most excellent of care from the staff there. The nursing staff in this section deserve the highest praise for their total commitment to the care of people who are vulnerable and was so very impressed with it. True to his word, Dr Pereira visited my husband just after the operation and said all had gone very well and he was happy with the outcome. We met with him a few more times before I was discharged from the Clinic. He was very thorough in his profession, a highly accomplished neurosurgeon with a lot of experience in his career to date and yet his personality was friendly and unassuming. I was pleased when he agreed to have his photo taken with me. When programming is complete, I look forward to an improved quality of life and again my sincere thanks to Dr Pereira and his team at the London Clinic.

Hi, I had DBS with Mr Pereira in January. Coming from Ireland we consulted online where we got full confidence with clear and direct answers. The procedure was incident free but it’s still too early to say if it’s worked yet, however the device is ‘in’ which was his job. Pre and post Op communication was excellent with brief daily drop-ins that morning and for 3 of the next 4days afterwards in hospital. The relationship/handoff with my neurologist works well. Administration was made easy once insurance certification was supplied— all done at the worst height of Covid in London. Overall, would highly recommend Mr Pereira and his team
