We were referred to Dr Tim Clayton and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything he has done for us. Our little girl Everleigh was born with a hemangioma on her left cheek and we kept going to the doctors as it grew to an alarming size which it affected her eye. We were told we would have to wait 6-8 months to be referred which scared us as the rate of growth. We asked to go private and were referred to Dr Tim Clayton and got an appointment straight away. We are so glad we did as he couldn’t do enough for us. We explained everything. He saw us at his clinic and then arranged for treatment the following week through the nhs at Manchester children’s hospital. We saw him regularly and now it’s gone. I would hate to have thought what would have happened without him. As a person he is so lovely and down to earth. He actually listens to you and doesn’t make you feel patronised. He was so good with my little girl and I can’t thank him enough.

A very relatable and down to Earth dermatologist who made me feel very comfortable in regards to my acne. Very reliable and adaptable throughout the pandemic and other personal circumstances. I would highly recommend.

What a pleasure to deal with a personable and professional dermatologist. The virtual consultation was a time saver for me and scheduled at a convenient time for me to be able to work around work. Great advice for my rosacea and unbelievable results. I don't know why I didn't visit Tim years ago and save myself years of unhappiness with my skin. Simply a life changer. Highly highly recommended.

Consultation July 2020 At 30 weeks pregnant I had developed a rash, my GP and my obstetrician were unsure of the cause and had provided generic creams for treatment. Unfortunately, over the next 7 weeks the rash spread significantly and in turn caused great pain in my hands and feet, which began to have an impact on my day to day life, mobility and leading to a noticeable decline in my health. My GP who was concerned advised that I seek a private Dermatology appointment, as the NHS waiting list was over 12 months and he could do no more for me. Having researched dermatologists, I enquired into Dr Clayton the Dermatology Consultant and found he is well respected and held in high regard by his piers and patients. I therefore contacted DermExpert, communicating via email with Mandy, Dr Clayton’s secretary, who provided a prompt response and confirmed given my circumstances, Dr Clayton would add me to the end of his clinic, the day after my initial contact. We arrived at the DermExpert clinic and were met upstairs by Dr Clayton who instantly put us at ease. I had forwarded Dr Clayton a detailed email before my attendance outlining all treatment to date and a 'potential diagnosis,' together with my GP referral letter. It was nice to have a Dr who had fully reviewed and considered my history. Dr Clayton examined my rash and within two minutes was able to provide me with a diagnosis of Pemphigoid Gestationis. He took time to ensure my husband and I were fully informed of the condition, its rarity and the potential risk to our unborn baby. While we were present he had typed a letter to my GP, organised for Salford Royal Hospital to take a biopsy that afternoon to confirm the diagnosis, and contacted my Consultant obstetrician, to inform him that urgent action was required to deliver our baby. Within hours, the biopsy was taken, I had prescriptions, letters from Dr Clayton and was admitted to my local hospital to have our baby induced. Dr Clayton established phone contact with all the relevant parties, ensuring I was admitted that evening. I am extremely grateful for the fast diagnosis and prompt action Dr Clayton took, which relieved us of so much worry and led to our daughter being born safe and well. I am now on the correct medication, my rash is fading and I am improving rapidly. My husband and I cannot recommend Dr Clayton highly enough for his undoubted expertise, quick action and great kindness.

Our experience with Dr Clayton has been fantastic. We have always been unsure about private healthcare, but we wouldn’t think twice about seeing Dr Clayton again if needed. My 6 week old baby, had a significant sized haemangioma on her neck. Although, they usually disappear by 7 years of age, we were concerned at the rapid growth and possible complications. After many unsuccessful phone calls to NHS services (understandably due to C-19), we contacted DermExpert. Mandy, Dr Clayton’s secretary was super efficient, lovely and got back to us very quickly. Dr Clayton was happy to do a video call due to the COVID-19 circumstances. He was extremely reassuring and knowledgeable, he decided to start some treatment and organised a prescription immediately. We have now had a months treatment with incredible results and been seen in his NHS clinic.
