20 years I have been suffering with Adult Acne. 20 horrible, greasy, painful embarrassing years fighting to get somebody to listen to me and help me get my clear skin and confidence back. Enter stage left, Dr Tim Clayton! How I wish I had found him sooner. I decided to see Dr Clayton privately as I was desperate at this point; it was either use the sander to take my skin off, or find someone who could take the place of the sander. And he did just that and more. I received such care and understanding in the first 5 minutes of my appointment than I have from any GP or consultant I have seen about my skin in the last 20 years. He knew exactly how I was feeling and exactly what was wrong with my skin. He even drew me a diagram to explain why my skin was the way it was which helped me massively in accepting that this is a medical condition that could be treated. It gave me hope. He went through various options of medication and what they could do for me; having a say in my treatment was new for me, and I really appreciated having that choice. I chose Roaccutane, and Dr Clayton went through all of the side effects, the stages of recovery, what to expect etc in great detail so that there were no surprises. After treatment began, I kept in touch with Dr Clayton via follow-up appointments and via email (even lock-down didn't stop him from being a great doctor!). He was reassuring when I was having side effect issues and even prescribed a cream to help me through the worst of it, which worked wonders. I'm now about to come off Roaccutane after maintaining beautiful, clear skin. I am very nervous about how my skin will react once the medication is no longer in my system, but Dr Clayton has asked me to update him in a couple of months, and if I am struggling I will have no hesitation in asking for his help again. If, like me, you are struggling with your skin, just know that you don't have to struggle any longer. Dr Clayton will make it better for you. But make sure you don't take all the appointments up, because if I ever need him again, I want to be able to go back! Thanks Dr Clayton, you have given me my skin and my confidence back. Fingers crossed it stays :)

Virtual Appointment: I had my first ever appointment with Tim last Wednesday via video, just over a week later and I can already see a massive difference in my acne. Following photos I sent to Tim prior to my appointment, Tim didn’t hesitate to tell me my diagnosis of Open/Closed Comedonal Acne - Wow what a relief to finally know what type of Acne I have. It was lovely to speak with someone who cared and actually asked questions about my journey. Tim is also really quick to reply via email, which is brilliant as I have needed to check whether I could use a few products on my skin. I now have my prescription and really hope this is the beginning of the end of my Acne.

I first spoke to Dr Tim Clayton the Wednesday after the "Social Distancing" came into affect and so we had the consultation over video call. Tim was very friendly and made me feel at ease even if we weren't together in person. Listening to my explanation and seeing my vertiligo on screen he was able to quickly diagnose and prescribe (digital prescription) an appropriate course of treatment. Beyond addressing the affects, further follow up was suggested in dealing with any underlying issues. I highly recommend Dr Tim Clayton!

I cannot recommend Dr. Tim Clayton and his team enough. My child has a lot of health issues and We have met with many health professionals. I must say that Dr. Clayton and his team have put their patient first, they are extremely clear in communication, are passionate about what they do and for my child; they wanted to minimise as much as possible any discomfort and make everything as quick as possible. I am forever grateful for the care and specialist knowledge that Dr. Clayton gave my child. I wish that there were more doctors like him. Thank you
