A very caring doctor and would recommend him thoroughly. He recognises you in the waiting room as he passes by and even stops to ask how you are by name - very refreshing !
Saw this Consultant today for the first time. Great communicator. He came across as Specialist, up to date, friendly and efficient. He was an excellent role model for the Junior Dr that was observing the clinic.
He's a fantastic doctor that is always willing to go the extra mile to help. He has allowed me to keep myself out of hospital multiple times by emailing me and reassuring me when I need to seek additional support.
He is always understanding of what normal things happen day to day and the ways in which I can control my diabetes to deal with such events. He has never made me feel as though I am not trying or that I'm a bad person for high blood sugars he always just comes up with a strategy in order to address the problem.
I visited Doctoe Kar for the first time today after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in December 2014 and at that time being left with very little advise on future aspects of future treatment and personal care for this illness. He is an extremely nice man who listened to my concerne, spoke to me in terms a layman could understand, advised me on the many aspects of my care and made appointments for me to see other medical professionals in this field of medicine. I was left in no doubt of his vast and indepth knowledge on the subject of diabetes. I would have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Doctor Kar to anyone who has either diabetes one or two and has any concerns about their future care. He is an excellent doctor.
Dr. Kar was very quick to understand my situation, listened carefully to me, and was fully supportive. He is an advocate of a patient centred approach and was able to customise a solution for the management of my diabetes that was not based on "one size fits all". This has motivated me to manage my condition as well as I can.
