On each occasion I met with Dr Jones he went to great lengths to explain what was going to happen to me under his care using language I could understand. He answered all my questions and left me feeling very confident in his abilities. The explanatory leaflets he gave me to take away were perfect bedtime reading and a very good way of reviewing all that was discussed when you're at home and you want reassurance that you've grasped everything. He found time to come and see me very soon after my operation and talked to me through how things had gone. Basically I couldn't have asked for more and would recommend his services to anyone.

Worth 10 stars imo ,he understood my very severe anxiety and acted and listened appropriately.we even had a small consultation in the car park prior to my admission.so he went the extra mile to reassure me. Thank you very much Mr Jones for a extremely professional experience.

I was in the hospital for my operation during the COVID-19 in the height of everything going on so couldn’t have anyone with me on the day and was very nervous about everything and it felt like a very lonely experience. Dr Jones was fantastic came to see me before and explained everything put me at ease and then again before surgery promised to take good care of me and that his special gin and tonic would do the trick. He really made the whole experience easier like I wasn’t on my own And made all very straight forward. I had no issues at all and was awake again and it was all done. He came to see me afterwards to check I was all ok And wish me well. I have had a number of operations in the past but Dr Jones really stood out for me and was really kind and thoughtful towards me and my experience. If I had to have another hospital experience would definitely highly recommend you and the team at Springfield as You have all been great. Thanks again x

Dr Hywel Jones, What can I say in these current covid times and faced with surgery this man made it all the easier, such a kind, caring, funny and super genuine guy, I can't thank him enough for making me feel at ease, amazing at his job and caring with it I wasn't just a number on his list I was a person I felt like his friend and with no family allowed in he became my family for that day. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Keep up the amazing work.

I was visiting for a septoplasty. The nature of this procedure meant that there was no reason to see Dr. Jones much - he only saw me beforehand to explain the operation, then again to administer general anaesthetic, then briefly afterwards in the recovery ward to check how I was doing. Dr. Jones was very approachable and friendly the entire time, made sure that I understood everything that I needed to, and, as it was my first surgery and I was anxious, did a good job of making sure that I was comfortable in the anaesthesia room. I would definitely be happy to see Dr. Jones again in the future, should I need to visit the hospital again.
