Instantly put me at ease. Very understanding and made he it easy to open up to him. Treatment plan was set up quickly and was in place the next day. Incredible doctor and highly recommend him to anyone with ADHD or suspects they have ADHD.

Andy is incredibly good at what he does, in my experience anyway. As a health care professional myself I was afraid of what might happen and was very apprehensive about our initial meeting, during which, he reassured me that, with treatment, my vocation could continue. I was surprised at how friendly, attentive and non-patronising he was - not my experience with some NHS doctors (GP etc). It’s easy to do the whole diagnose and treat process but it’s his character that has made the process doable for me, that and the fact I know he knows what he’s doing! His knowledge and experience is obvious. He has been sensitive, understanding and compassionate. The fact that he gave me options and so much autonomy in the decision making process for my treatment made a huge difference to me. I think it’s gone some way to helping me accept my diagnosis. He listened to me and when I was reluctant about particular medications, offered alternatives. He was insightful and acknowledged the difficulties/struggles I’ve had which made me feel heard and understood. He offered words of encouragment which have stuck with me and will probably continue to do so. Throughout, he has been available and responsive if/when needed. He doesn’t appear to be money focused. He encouraged me to do what he thought would be most beneficial to ME. The thing is, all of the above might make you want to continue with him instead of someone new if you ever need to. If you need to see a psychiatrist about a potential mood disorder, you should DEFINATELY see Andy. No doubt he’d be equally as good with other conditions too.
