Psychiatry UK in my experience has been phenomenal. I was referred as an NHS patient, they are clear and consistent in their communication. Explaining everything I as the patient needed to do. Each interaction was friendly and understanding. When I changed some personal details they were accommodating to my change of name. [I am also glad to see on their portal there is a setting to put your preferred name and pronouns] There is a log of all messages on the dashboard which I greatly appreciate being able to refer back to. I felt involved in my own treatment as if they cared for me as an individual and not just lumping me as another individual who needed treatment and was on my way. The only feedback I could consider would be for the portal login if there was a way for both patient and Dr/Nurse to have a note after video or phone call appointments where they confirm what was discussed as a matter of keeping records.

I got my ADHD diagnosed here through NHS- Right To Choose. I was a really positive experience. The forms you have to fill in are long but there's always someone happy to help you if you post a question on your online portal. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and compassionate. I'd happily recommend this service to any friends or family.

My journey into my ADHD/Neurodivergent diagnosis has not been an easy one. I spent most of my life thinking that there's something different about me. Could it be ADHD? I could never apply myself long enough to discover that answer. It was such a struggle. When the pandemic hit I made a concerted effort to push forwards. I finally did. I received my official diagnosis. At 38. It was cathartic and beyond validating. Finally. Then the next step began as I started my titration with new medications. That's when I met Salma. I can't offer enough words of praise for how amazing she is at her job. Genuine empathy, consistently reliable. A true credit to her craft and Psychiatry UK. It's been an absolute pleasure. Now, I feel like a far better version of myself. And Salma has helped me every step of the way. My only critique is the delivery firm they use to bring medication. Unfortunately they are frequently unreliable, have terrible contact and have not turned up multiple times when they've stated that they would. The delivery firm sadly put an unfortunate blemish on the amazing work being done at Psychiatry UK.

At the time of my application Psychiatry UK processed my application quickly and effectively. They provided me with an excellent doctor, their titration service worked well, and the consistent weight and blood pressure checks made me feel safe.

I had an excellent experience with this service. They even supported me during the referral stage when I was having problems with my local doctor and local commissioning group. They sent a detailed and supportive letter to medical secretaries at my GP practice to assist with the referral process. When I finally met my clinician I was assessed sensitively and with skill, and then introduced to an extremely skilled very freindly and supportive titration nurse who helped with me adjusting to the medication. This process went on for a few months until everything was just right and she never rushed me. They always listened to me. I think this service is excellent, and I am so grateful for the help I have received.

My disability was taken seriously and I received the help I needed quicker than it would've been to go through the NHS.

It was such a relief to finally be in the care of PUK. I would like to thank Dr Sajjad Sadiq and Hemamm Al-Kaillany for all their time and patience. The titration process allowed us to work out what was best and I found the online response really good and everything was explained to me.

Just wow. What an absolutely impeccable service from Psychiatry-UK. (PUK) As soon as the service was handed over to PUK I was told exactly what I needed to know, in a way that made me feel completely at ease. The initial assessment had me particularly worried, as is common with ADHD I had completely forgotten what the time was for the video call and I was rushing around after just getting out the shower in a usual ADHD fueled flurry. - I was worried that it would mean I would have to reschedule the appointment. However that completely wasn't the case once I was in the actual assessment. The questions were explained well, and the consultant was able to guide the conversation in a way that was useful and easy to understand. My consultant was extremely patient, and reassuring through out the whole questioning. Once the questions had been answered, they went through their thoughts and confirmed to me that he believed I was suffering with ADHD. There was then a little wait from when I was diagnosed and passed over to the prescribing team but that very quickly went by. Once I was under their titration service I was then put onto a low dosage medication. At each stage I was able to have any questions I may have had answered, and the advice given was always extremely helpful. Whilst carefully being monitored whilst upping the dosage until I am feeling less of the symptoms of ADHD and the medication wasn't causing any problematic side effects. It has been just over a 2 months since I have been on the service and I am now about to be passed back to my GP. I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome that going through this process has managed to achieve. I would like to especially thank - Dr Sajjad Sadiq for the incredible initial assessment, Hemamm Al-Kaillany the prescriber for the efficient and easy to understand service, and the people behind the Admin team that arrange the assessment and later titration if you are successful with the diagnosis. I would not have changed a thing about the entire process. If you get the choice to pick who you are referred to then you will not regret using PUK.
