I felt very anxious at the start but my psychiatrist was amazing. He was so calm and understanding. Just the assessment alone helped me to understand why I do certain things. It was very quick too! From being referred by my GP to starting medication was under a year. Definitely recommend!

Communication over the portal is second to none. You know that someone is always there should you need them. All of my concerns and questions were answered quickly and I was made to feel at ease. The treatment and approach during and after diagnosis for ADHD at the age of 47, including being part of the decision making process was very much appreciated to what has eventually become life changing for me personally. I am very grateful to the care and handling of what has become probably the biggest journey of my life.

After suffering with anxiety for over 35 years I was placed under the care of this team for adhd. Having tried atomoxine at a lower dose and then put on the correct dose the side effects were minimal. I've never felt more listened and reassured in my whole entire life. Highly recommend the team. Many thanks for your continued support x

When booking my appointment, the ladies I spoke to were very lovely and patient with me. They were very helpful and I can’t thank them enough! Dr Neel Tambimuttu was so lovely, professional and kind. He made sure I understood and made sure all my questions were answered. He was very intelligent and Clear on all the stages and process. The only negative thing I can say is the wait times for the appointments and treatment, however I am an NHS patient and that is expected sadly.

Thank you for your feedback. I will make sure it is passed on to the relevant teams. It is always really useful for us to hear about patient experiences, good or bad, so we can make sure we address any problems quickly or make changes to our processes if needed. We are pleased to hear that your assessment has been really helpful in providing answers to your questions, and that your journey through PUK has been so positive. Our service continues to be extremely popular, as you have noted, and we know that many of our patients are waiting for longer than we would like. However, we are doing everything we can to recruit new staff and we continually audit our processes to ensure that they are as streamlined as possible.

From start to finish, my experience with Psychiatry Uk's ADHD service has been phenomenal. The quality of care provided has been exceptional, far above any diagnostic processes or treatments I've received from the NHS in the past. The website is accessible, easy to use, and the assessment process was broken down simply in a way that I found very easy to process. It's clear that Psychiatry Uk takes accessibility into account. My consultation was thorough and the titration treatment process was unbelievably good, of a higher quality than I'd ever come to expect from mental health or neurodevelopmental care. I received frequent check-ins, the ability to provide constant updates on physical health and symptoms, advice promptly provided when side effects arose, and more. I've been very involved in the process and have come out the other side of the entire process feeling like a completely new person in all the best ways. I couldn't recommend Psychiatry Uk highly enough when it comes to their ADHD team and have done, frequently, to the people in my life who have long been seeking diagnosis through the NHS and failing to jump the first hurdle, or who have been let down by the NHS regarding the mistreatment and mishandling of their medication. I feel incredibly satisfied, and for a service that's provided online, it's been far more attentive and consistent than almost every service I've been under with the NHS since I was a child. Fantastic team, fantastic practitioners, fantastic company.

I had a ADHD assessment with Dr Sajjad Sadiq and he was very nice to speak to. Although I didn't end up having ADHD, he made it really clear what was causing my symptoms and helped me make the link back to my existing mental health issue (OCD) which helped me make sense of my situation. He was friendly, informative and I really enjoyed my assessment and getting an outcome in order to move forward. Very pleasant Dr!

Amazing service from start to finish, so helpful. Having an online portal to ask any questions is brilliant. The titration stage was great, my concerns were listened too and we found a dose that worked for me. Can't fault PsyUK.

The service I received was nothing short of exemplary. Not once was I made to feel unsure or anxious about asking perhaps obvious questions, not once was anyone rude or patronising towards me and not once did I feel as though a situation was out of my control. All my questions and/or notes were answered almost instantaneously and I was never left hanging for long. I felt safe and looked after while working through this strange new thing I now have the facilities to accommodate in my life, none of it would have been possible or as pleasant if it weren't for the people helping me understand it all.

I was referred to Psychiatry UK from the NHS in order to discuss an ADHD diagnosis and possible help. I was a little anxious - to put it lightly - as I'd never had such a diagnosis before and aside from my Anxiety medication, I'd never been on a Titration plan. But the entire process from start to finish was clear, comfortable and kind. All staff I met treated me with respect and were incredibly patient with my millions of questions and concerns. They were upfront about possible changes and were flexible in recommending me medication to suit me personally. It was very clear to me how experienced they are in their jobs and how suited they are to helping people. I am just finished my titration period with a new medication that suits me and genuinely has assisted me in being much healthier, healthier than I have been in years, mentally and physically. It took some trial and error but the staff were so patient and understanding the entire step of the way. I would like to give a special shout out to Sarah Purchase, who has been in contact with me for the past several months. Sarah is absolutely amazing at her job, incredibly knowledgeable and without her I don't think I would have come out the other side half as well as I have! I cannot stress how grateful I am to her and for all the hours she has put in to helping me. Thank you, Sarah! To round off, thank you to the entire team of Psychiatry UK. With the awful strains on our medical departments and wait times being long, it can be worrying to someone who wants to get better but cannot afford a private practice. When I think back to how I was when I first got into contact last June for my appointment and initial diagnosis, compared to now it is like night and day. Of course, everyone is different and experiences treatment differently, but for me I am so happy to be back to a much healthier point in my life. You have given me the support and tools I needed to make the steps to improving my health and my life and for that, I am so very grateful. Thank you all again!
