The service is primarily online-based and does not require face-to-face appointments. This, of course,, comes with pros and cons. Pros: - Timely replies and decisions are good when experiencing worrying side effects - Can respond whenever is convenient for you, so there's no need to take days off from work - Admin, Psychiatrist, and Titration nurse are all available to contact from the online portal. - Online portal holds all the documents, messages, and forms you have ever filled out, so it's perfect for records. Cons: - Lack of Face to face time gives a dehumanizing feeling, combined with the fact that the service is in demand, there are times when you feel like a number. - Patient experience and quality of care during titration can be reduced if they wish to get more people into the titration process. As the service is in high demand, I felt pressured by the titration nurse to settle on a dose stating that the titrations times have now changed despite the FAQs stating the titration period is as long as the individual needs, which is very contradictory and leads to reduced time for side effects to settle. Quite possibly leading to misobservations from a patient. - As its mainly text-based communications, a lot of things don't always transfer to the staff member in question (i.e., Urgency, the effectiveness of drugs) - Miscommunications: Sometimes the titration nurse and the patient can have different understandings on a matter i.e., How to take observations and fill out a form. Do you do the obs from a pre-med point of view? or is it from the view of the last dose? This wasn't made clear and led to skewed obs reporting. - Trust based: While I had no issue, patients with an addictive personality may abuse the medication and simply lie to get more. This is hard to discern through online means. Ultimately the staff was great. They are just working with the conditions and structure imposed on them. The delivery method through mainly online means can give an impersonal touch to the patient experience and gives the impression that the service just wants to churn out the numbers of "treated" patients.

Firstly, thank you for leaving such a detailed review. I know your feedback will be extremely helpful to others who are researching our service. Working with an online service brings both pros and cons, as you have noted, and we know that some people will feel more suited to face-to-face treatment. It would be really helpful to be able to discuss some of the issues you have raised in more detail, and I wonder whether you would be happy to get in touch with us directly to give more detailed feedback. If so, please do reach out to our Patient Experience Team at: experience@psychiatry-uk.com. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you felt pressurised during titration, since this process has been limited to three months. This change was introduced to reduce the titration wait time for patients who struggle post-diagnosis without medication. You can read more on our blog here: https://psychiatry-uk.com/update-on-adhd-titration-service-for-our-adult-nhs-patients/ Finally, we are pleased to note the beneficial aspects of our service you have experienced, and particularly the positive interaction with our staff teams. Your feedback has been valuable; thank you again for your time. Finally, we are pleased to note the positive aspects of our service you have experienced, and particularly the positive interaction with our staff teams. We wish you the best of luck in your onward journey.

Excellent service throughout. Since before diagnosis, communication was clear and effective with the admin team. The use of the portal makes communicating with the relevant parties really easy at all stages. During diagnosis call I experienced a technical issue, but the doctor was really helpful and offered a follow up call the next say so we could conclude the assessment. Dr Sreenath was patient and listened to me attentively during the assessment. He took the time to evaluate my responses and asked relevant questions that would clarify or expand on information I had already given in my pre assessment paperwork. Titration was a difficult period for me as I had a lot of questions and expectations and was unsure how medication would affect me. Lisa was brilliant throughout this time and answered all my questions and clarified all my doubts. I felt well looked after throughout this period of transition and I am extremely happy with how things are going right now at the end of the process.

Report took 9 weeks despite website stating it would take up to 4. Poor response to complaint. Report received not to the standard you would expect.

I recommend Psychiatry UK to everyone who is thinking about getting an ADHD assessment. Their guide to using Right to Choose is the perfect resource to help people with ADHD navigate the complex path to getting assessed on the NHS. I was kept informed about wait times, I feel confident in my diagnosis and I felt well looked after during the medication titration process.

I needed help and was treated with kindness and patience by ALL staff related to this service. After a very long process, I have been made aware of my condition and been given lots of resources to make my life easier while I wait for further treatment. I have been kept up to date and been informed of everything I need to know at any given time. I will be eternally grateful to everyone here that's helped me!

We used the ADHD tritiation service for our 11 year old child due to the lengthy wait on the NHS. Our prescriber Sally was great, very helpful, knowledgeable , supportive and always seemed available responding promptly to any queries. I would recommend Psychiatry UK from the outset , our son has received excellent care via customer services, the DR and prescriber. Thank you.

The time from my diagnosis to prescription was held up by the local health trust and a wait for a cardiac report. Without this delay the entire process would have been much quicker. The support from my prescriber was great, having not worked so remotely with a healthcare professional before I found myself very quickly trusting the process within the Titration process. Very fast, informative and kind responses to my queries and requests.

Really really super. My prescriber Mike was AMAZING, cannot stress enough. Every thing I asked was answered, he was incredibly friendly, and I felt able to tell him anything. It can take a while to get the assessment and then to get the medication after it, getting the medication probably takes longer than getting the appointment TBH, but once the ball is rolling it rolls excellently - if that analogy makes any sort of sense. My psychiatrist was very careful, it wasn't a tick box thing or any nonsense, it was a full medical history based, incredibly in depth diagnosis, and it's so reassuring to know it was so strict and thorough. If I have to find a criticism, it is just maybe the waiting times, but compared to normal NHS ones they're very very good and they keep you updated. In short, highly recommend. I'm not private, I didn't pay anything, but it felt like I did!

Thank you for your wonderful review! All our teams really do strive to make the journey through P-UK as smooth and responsive as possible, and it is always extremely rewarding to read that patients have found our service professional and thorough. You have mentioned waiting times, and we know that some of our patients are waiting longer for treatment than we would like, due to the popularity of our service. Nevertheless, as an online company, we are usually able to treat patients faster than through local NHS routes as you have noted - and we continually work to reduce wait times through ongoing recruitment and regular audits to identify new ways to streamline our processes. We are pleased that you are confident to recommend our service to others and I will pass on your positive feedback to your prescriber.

The only thing that let the experience down was the quality of the internet connection and as it has become more and more popular the waiting times have increased, but I wasnt left without medication.
