I'm so happy to have trusted Psychiatry UK with my ADHD care over the last 4 years, and I hope this will continue. To this day, they continue to care for me, and provide me with all the support I need. I know they are always one message away, which brings me great peace of mind. They always seem to find ways to improve their services, which I appreciate.

This system does not work. You cannot have meaningful therapeutic relationships with neurodivergent/mental health patients through the constraints of a messaging portal. It just does not enable meaningful therapeutic relationships to be built. I did not trust the system, and I did not trust the practitioners. Throughout my care there were major contradictions in what was being said and done. I felt gaslit. I felt like I was just a number. I did not feel like the service had my best interests at heart. I have been unable to find details of their complaints procedure online. I am still waiting for closure.

I had been researching the right clinician for my autism assessment and Dr Sam Yates was absolutely the right choice. I was fortunate to be able to gain a referral from my GP via Right to Choose.
He was hugely responsive before the actual appointment and made sure I knew about the tonics we would cover, the likely timings and the process from referral to completion.
It was easy to unmask and be myself and I felt heard and validated. My diagnosis has been such a reaffirming experience and at no point did I feel Dr Yates considered autism to be a negative thing.
The screening for other possible conditions was revealing and I have plenty of recommendations to take away and explore.

Psychiatry-UK was a very helpful and speedy service once I had submitted my self-report questionnaires. I think the system of adding notes to my file and being able to mark when I'd seen them worked well.

My experience was good. My only concerns arose after the BBC panorama documentary on ADHD diagnosis in private companies where appointment times were 1/3rd of what is used by the NHS.

I had misgivings about the questions asked on the initial assessment, I thought it glossed over a lot of issues experienced by people with ADHD, but the actual treatment I received was fantastic. The Dr was insightful and easy to talk to, and my prescriber has been patient and kept me informed right through. Really great service.

My experience of titration at P-UK has been excellent. My nurse prescriber Mike Proctor has been fab, super efficient at responding to messages and always giving balanced and helpful answers to my sometimes obscure questions. Although the wait time for titration is a while, my experience once on the process was brilliant.
Also the women who I spoke to prior to start titration to arrange information to be sent out and appointments to be booked we're absolutely lovely and so empathetic. Which considering they probably speak to a lot of people on a daily basis who are often frustrated, really goes a long way that they continue to show excellent care.
