Psychiatry UK (from my experience and friends/family exploring other routes) I believe is the most quick and efficient route for those with undiagnosed ADHD. Everyone was very helpful and respectful and kind. Communication was regular and all questions were answered. I felt supported and informed throughout. The only thing I would have liked more of was detailed information around my medication and what it impacts/how to manage it. For example it was only through personal research that I found out the importance of increased protein intake and supplements such as omega 3 which can help the medication be more effective and lessen side effects. I think the importance of a healthy high protein diet and regular exercise should be stressed more to patients, as I found the medication hard to manage when I wasn’t leading a healthy daily routine, as do many others.
