Share review of Psychiatry-UK
My experience with PsychiatryUK has been generally very positive. I waited just six months for an initial assessment by a psychiatrist, having self referred via my GP as I had started to suspect that mental health difficulties I was having were a consequence of undiagnosed ADHD. My assessment was just under an hour, during which my psychiatrist reviewed the information I had submitted and asked lots of questions to get an insight into the difficulties I was having and how these had manifested throughout the different stages of my life. She was not the most attentive, and there were some minor inaccuracies in her report, but she generally got a good insight into my difficulties and I was diagnosed with ADHD combined type. It has taken over a year to get access to the right medication after narrowing my options down during my first titration process, but this is due to global shortages, so it can't really be helped. I am commencing titration again with what is hopefully the right medication for me this month. I have been well supported throughout the titration process and my titration nurse is very efficient and attentive.
