Everything was very good overall; I felt informed about the overall process of diagnosis and treatment, and how long each stage would take. The information on waiting times was accurate and helpful, and when I compare this to other services I've used PUK stand out as being the best at communication. In comparison, the local mental health and psychiatry services in Bristol are like a black hole; information goes in, but nothing comes out. The most important thing for me was that I was informed about decisions and I felt involved in them. The clinicians listened to me and advised where necessary so that it felt like a partnership rather than an unequal relationship. They were respectful and professional throughout my treatment, which made everything much easier to deal with.
