Having worked alongside Mr Zameer Shah at Guy's Hospital, in an administrative capacity, I have always found Zameer to be very professional, caring and attentive. He has always shown a willingness to listen to staff and patients concerns. Patients often commented on how comfortable they were made to feel when in consultation with Zameer and how well he had looked after them.

A very nice caring doctor, my mum had both knees done, and a second hip replacement within 18 months at Guys hospital, as she has rhuematoid arthritus. Dr Shah was very considerate in her feelings, and gave her time and did not rush her, A well recommend Dr, who cares about the patients wellbeing, not just a Hospital number. Also the staff at Guys hospital are very nice.

I cannot fault Dr Shah. I recently had a hip replacement under his care. I was well informed by him before the operation. He answered all my questions, explained the X-Rays and showed me what my new hip would look like. I felt in expert hands throughout the process. I have just had my 6 week assessment and things are going very well. He is good natured, friendly, professional and skilled. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to future patients.

I had the best possible care when I was admitted to St. Thomas's Hospital with a broken kneecap recently. Mr Shah operated less than 24 hours after I arrived, and wired it up. It healed beautifully so he must have done a good job! I was told at all stages what they were going to do, and when I could start to walk on a Zimmer frame - after 12 days. I needed to be reassured that I had Mr Shah's permission to do this because I have limb girdle muscular dystrophy. The weakness in my muscles caused me to fall in the first place, but I was worried that the longer I didn't walk, the harder it would be when I was allowed to walk. I have just had my six week appointment, and Mr. a Shah is very pleased with how I am doing, but he has told me to make sure I put most weight on my left leg and not to fully weight bear on my right leg for a bit longer.

A very professional and approachable consultant at the top of his game - Mr Shah even had time to ask me about my daily job and interests. Full explanations, efficiency and a calm manner combined to make my knee operation as smooth as I could have hoped. I particularly appreciated being shown the working model of the knee and being able to see the photographs taken inside the joint during the procedure. And of course, general anaesthetic is always to be looked forward to! Graham Fordyce
