I have recently just a a total hip replacement & Mr Shah was my surgeon & consultant. I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for me. When I went for my first consultation he made me feel at ease, listened to me and then gave me all the information I needed explaining what the surgery would entail. My stay at Guys was fantastic the staff were absolutely brilliant. Mr Shah came to see me after my operation to assure me that everything had gone to plan. I have just returned from my 6 week follow up appointment and was seen by a colleague of Mr Shah’s, but he took the time out to pop in and see me and to again reassure me of all my fears. A truly fantastic surgeon and consultant, thank you.

For a period of time I had been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hips and had increasingly been in considerable pain. An x-ray showed that I had become suitable for a total hip replacement surgery. I was referred to Mr Shah for a consultation and, after a thorough discussion and diagnosis, he recommended that this be in the form of two operations, with the hip in the worst condition to be replaced first. Both operations were performed by Mr Shah at the BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital, the first in July 2018 and the second five months later. I could not have chosen a better surgeon for the job. I found him to be extremely professional, with a very kind and caring manner, and he always explained everything very clearly. Whilst I was still in hospital he also took the trouble to call me to ask how I was recovering and if I had any concerns. I have already recommended him to and friend and would be happy to do so again.

I recently underwent surgery on my left knee with Mr Shah. I found him to be very professional at all times. On the day of my operation he was very clear and concise in outlining my procedure. I have had my follow up with him and he took the time to show me exactly what he had done within the knee. It was illustrated both on the screen and in photographic form. I would highly recommend Mr Shah to anyone considering Orthopaedic surgery.

My experience with Mr Shah was positive. He provided detailed and well explained feedback on the result of MRI scan on my knee. Given I have an underlying condition that complicates matters somewhat, he took this into account well and I was provided feedback not specifically related to my knee also which I much appreciated.
