Being a non-clinical NHS employee, I was referred by my Surgery for consultation with the Dept of Orthopaedics at GSTT for my Knee OsteoArthiritis, wherein I was assigned & thereafter introduced to Dr Zameer Shah. The presentation & dealing of a clinical lead orthopaedic consultant specialist towards a needy patient within the given alloted time is something I always cherish. I knew within the first consultation that I am being dealt by a specialist in Knee OsteoArthiritis who knows his subject very well. He saw the need for me to have a knee replacement procedure done, but the way it was dealt by him as a consultant from an NHS Trust through my Surgery with transparency, giving the realistic option within the Covid19 setup and thereby reducing the time and not the least, minimising the realistic pain I was undergoing is much much appreciated. Today, having now new knee implant and after 3 weeks of the procedure, I wish to let fellow NHS Colleagues and for that matter any suffering patient with OsteoArthiritis, you could taste a professional caring Dr Zameer Shah if you were assigned to him. You would discover, as I have found in him, that he is a humble fellow human being, who realises your physical pain and does all he can in his office, to set you pain free.

I came from the USA to see Mr. Shah. He was kind and very attentive to my ortho concerns. Mr Shah has fantastic bedside manners which all doctors should have. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a need for an excellent ortho doctor!

From my initial assessment through operation and post operative reviews I have found Mr Shah to be the most professional and supportive of medical practitioners. He has always ensured that I have understood the process and its various stages with the ability to set clear goals in order that I might progress positively between reviews. Clarification of the role of physiotherapy vs self help in the early stage recovery process after leaving hospital may have been beneficial. Finally I have always felt that Mr Shah was easily accessible if I had any issues.
