Mr Lambert was recommended to me by my brother, who is a consultant spinal surgeon, as being "the best in the country". And he is right. I feel completely cared for (such a relief after being diagnosed with tendonitis by a locum at my GP's following my bad fall on an outstretched arm in November when in fact I have a large tear in my supraspinatus tendon) and I totally trust that I am receiving the best treatment imaginable. Thank you. (Kate Chapple, patient)
He was very understanding and knowledgeable of my problem.
I felt I had every confidence in him
Good listener. Recommended correct treatment which was successful.
Simon lambert is without doubt a top shoulder surgeon.he listens to his patient and he takes time to explain everything.my wife and I met him in January,we had previously made appointments with two other shoulder surgeons, but they did not inspire confidence.by the time I had returned to my car I had made my mind up.and had total shoulder replacement in March.i arrived for surgery on a Saturday morning.
On arrival I was shown to my room, within minutes a nurse came in and helped me prepare and took me up to theatre.
Simon fitted a bayley walker joint,re attached muscle and freed up trapped nerves.
The after care and attention was nothing short of excellent.two days, then home.armed with four kinds of painkillers,of which I have taken none!
Within a week I can feel I'm better than pre op.with very little pain.
I would not and will not hesitate to return to Simon if I ever need the other shoulder replaced in the future.WHAT A GUY!!
Andy and Laura French. Penshurst kent.
I went to see Simon Lambert as he operated some years ago very successfully on both my partner & father's shoulders.
I find Simon Lambert the gentlest of gentlemen!
He is caring, listens intently to your problem and acts in the most professional manor.
I cannot speak highly enough of this consultant.

Profile
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
