Mr Simon Lambert is the most caring, considerate, knowledgeable medical expert I've ever met. He listens carefully and addresses the issues you've brought up. He genuinely cares about your problems and gives you the time you need to explain yourself even if you tend to go in a bit.
Even if surgery is not an option he will do everything in his power to find a solution even if is not in his specified field.
He is kind and soft spoken and is easy to trust and he makes you comfortable to confide in him. I can't say enough great things about him on this form.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Mr Lambert was that he did not rush my consultation that lasted almost an hour. He explained things simply and without reverting to medical jargon.
He listened to all my questions and gave honest and pragmatic answers. I'm felt totally at ease due to his gentle nature and this gave me huge confidence about his surgical abilities and gave me a good indication as to hiw I will be looked after post operation.
I have also been seen by two other consultants who both described Mr Lambert as "the god of shoulders".

I have seen over 10 specialists with my complaint, and I thought I was going mad... Then I saw Simon Lambert, who listened, asked the right questions, assured me I wasn't going mad, then examined me, and straight away identified where the pain was from and the reasoning behind it. He is the first Specialist to listen to me, and HEAR me, 20 years on, and Mr Lambert has finally found out what is going on in my weird body... I have now been scanned and am waiting for my results next week. Simon has renewed my faith in specialists, he treats you like a human being and listens. 100% recommend him...

Dr Lambert is one of the most kind, knowledgeable and amazing Doctor's I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. He is incredibly caring about his patience and has immense emotional intelligence. In addition to his obvious credentials as a Doctor his most outstanding quality is the level of genuine care he has for his patients. My children who have seen a multitude of medical professionals both through the NHS and Privately were taken aback by his manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
