I was referred to Mr Ellis with ongoing knee problems, following a previous arthroscopy at a different location, under a different doctor. Following on from further investigations, Mr Ellis recommended a total knee replacement. He performed the surgery at KIMS in April 2017. At the time of surgery another problem became evident and Mr Ellis performed a second procedure at the same time. This has led to a long and complicated rehabilitation. Whenever a need arose Mr Ellis was always there, often seeing me when I was sent to outpatients on an unscheduled appointment. I have always felt very cared for by Mr Ellis, not only has he been supportive through all the traumas of the last year, but he has encouraged me every step of the way, listened to my concerns, answered my questions openly and honestly. Now a year on, my knee is relatively pain free, and I continue to regain movement. I can't thank Mr Ellis enough for everything he has done for me through all the ups and downs of the last twelve months. I would recommend anyone to put themselves in the care of Mr Ellis.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review and for sharing your experiences with others. As you are aware surgery is not always straightforward despite the best pre-operative planning however being aware of potential difficulties during surgery and having a plan to deal with the unexpected is very important as you discovered. I am delighted we are now through the other side with a good outcome and wish you all the best for the future. With kind regards Simon Ellis

From the initial consultation until discharge after my total left knee replacement my care was superb. Me Ellis was very professional always prompt with his appointments. The operation went well I was home after three nights and followed up with physiotherapy. I have been discharged now at six weeks and am back starting to play bowls. My life is getting back to normal. Thankyou so much. Regards Sandra Massie

Simon Ellis did my knee replacement on the 7th of March 2018 with the most professionalism he could have given me the wound has healed and the knee is working very well. I have still got pain in the knee surrounding but is getting better daily. I would definitely recommend Simon to people. He is very approachable and down to earth. He listened to everything that I said and and answered all of the questions I asked him. I am now waiting for my other knee to be done. Hopefully when I see him in six weeks I'll get my next surgery date. Thank you Simon for your expertise keep up with the good work

Dr. Ellis is a kind personable professional who clearly cares about his patients. By the time I met with him to discuss the MRI results on my knee, he knew what the issues were, explained exactly how to treat it and what the recovery time would be. Post surgery he came to see me and explained exactly what he'd found and how he dealt with each problem. I am writing this review the day after the surgery and have to say I feel very well. I highly recommend Mr. Ellis and would encourage anyone with a problem that falls within his remit of expertise to make an appointment to see him. Thank you Dr. Ellis!
