My total knee replacement surgery was carried out by Simon Ellis at Kims hospital earlier this year. Every aspect of my experience and care was a positive one. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Ellis' work as a surgeon and have total trust and faith in his care. I would also like to mention the scar on my knee after surgery which is minimal!!!

Since my first consultation, my confidence grew in Dr Ellis, his knowledge is second to none. I was suffering with osteoarthritis in both knees, from years of physical sport. My left knee was given a new lease of life, with a full attune knee replacement. My sporting life was back after 3 months able to play Squash, Racket Ball and Badminton, my movement subsequently getting better and better as time progressed. I recently visited Dr Ellis again for consultation on my right knee, which has been giving me pain whilst maneuvering down stairs or slopes, and although i was scheduled for an operation, Dr Ellis suggested a cortisone injection, which 4 months appears to have given me relief, giving me the option to delay the operation, But at no point did i ever feel cast aside, i have always felt the full support of Dr Ellis, helping me to make the best decision for me as an individual, as every patient is different. Dr Ellis strives constantly to improve by asking very precise questions and listening to and recording your answers.

After 5 months of pain and immobility in my knee I decided to self fund a consultation with Mr Ellis at KIMS following a recommendation from a good friend. Mr Ellis is professional, concise and gave me complete confidence in his knowledge. On looking at my earlier scan he quickly came to a conclusion and diagnosis. He performed a simple treatment of fluid extraction and a steroid injection and I had instant relief. Two days now post procedure and I am pain free, I no longer walk with a limp, I feel back to A1. I have a follow up appointment in 6 weeks but he hopes the simple procedure performed will considerably aid my recovery. I would definitely recommend Mr Ellis and am so thankful for his experience and knowledge.

From the very first consultation, I was made to feel very relaxed and confident about the whole procedure, the treatment I was given was second to none, every time Mr Ellis called in to see me on the ward,I felt I was important, I can only but say how lucky I was to be treated by Mr Ellis. And thank him and his team for the excellent treatment I received.

My experience as a patient under Mr Ellis has been exceptional. Just over 2 years ago he repaired my ruptured ACL and meniscus tear allowing me to return to sport and not only achieve pre-injury levels but also surpass these. His manner and approach is professional yet understanding and personal. I was an incredibly nervous patient having never had an operation, yet Mr Ellis was very reassuring and I had complete faith in him. My whole experience from initial diagnosis, operation and follow up appointments (including one more recently) has been incredibly positive and I am incredibly grateful to Mr Ellis for allowing me to return to the sports I love. I cannot recommend Mr Ellis highly enough.
