Having had a medial meniscus tear for about a year I was pleased to be referred to Mr Ellis. He was very helpful in explaining the problem with my knee and my options for treatment. I had first opted to have a steroid injection in my knee which helped for a time but I found only masked the problem. I was nervous of the idea of having surgery but after much research I decided that it was my best option. Mr Ellis was very reassuring and thorough in explaining the process of knee arthroscopy. I had the surgery in June and have been under going physical therapy at the hospital as well as at home. I had mixed feelings in the first few weeks but now I am much more positive of the outcome. The tear I had was catching in the joint and I now no longer have that problem. I have not had any pain while doing the exercises and the soreness in the knee is getting less and less. I am looking forward to doing a lot more in the way of physical activity as the strength in my knee continues to build. I would certainly recommend Mr Ellis to anyone.

Response from Mr Simon Ellis

Thank you very much for this review. Surgery should always be the final choice made only when conservative treatment has not been effective which was the case for you. I am delighted to hear that surgery has been effective in resolving your symptoms at the end of the day. With kind regards Simon Ellis
