I would like to say a big Thank You to Mr Ellis for his care, politeness and reassurance when he performed an operation to replace my knee joint. He put me at ease as I was very apprehensive in undergoing this operation and the hospital staff were so very kind. I would also like to say a big Thank You also to the theatre staff, in particular the Anaesthetist for also putting me at ease and staying with me throughout the operation. I am now walking without any walking sticks and just resumed driving and although Mr Ellis has informed me that it will probably take up to a year to feel the benefit, I am pleased I had the operation and can add that after only four hours after arriving back from the theatre the nurses had me up and walking a few steps which although painful at the time, think this helped me to get mobil quicker. I would highly recommend Mr Ellis, the Consultant, to anyone requiring surgery for a new knee. My sincere thanks once again. Best Wishes James Montague(Mr)
