We came to see Mr Khemani as my 7 year old son had been suffering from reoccurring tonsillitis for the past 3 years and our GP and Benenden Healthcare had been unable to help. He was having to have time off school every month, which caused an issue and was very clingy every day I took him to school, and even gave up his hobbies of swimming and street dance as he couldn't breathe properly and had ear problems due to constantly swollen tonsils. Our family life was also affected as he couldn't stand noises in the house, car or when we were out, so we were desperate for help. All the GP's we saw said it was a risky operation and as his mother I got myself quite worried about whether I was making the right decision, but on our first consultation Mr Khemani put us all at ease and reassured us that it was the right thing to do as he had some of the biggest tonsils he had seen. He was the only one who also checked his adenoids and explained how they were stopping him from breathing deeply at night and so probably effected his sleep and his moods and also why he took so long to eat his food. He also gave us a website to read to fully explain the procedure and after care. My son came out of the consultation keen to have to operation as soon as possible and wasn't worried at all, which was such a relief as he is so young. We had great care from Gatwick Spire, including a dedicated paediatric nurse who communicated with us before and after the operation and lovely touches like a child's duvet and a toy in his room to make him feel at ease. The whole nursing team were fantastic and gave great care and Mr Khemani is a very friendly and reassuring surgeon, we couldn't have asked for more and it was well worth £2000. We just wish we had seen him sooner now as since then my son has a new lease of life and is happy, like a 7 year old should be!

Mr Khemani was excellent. He discussed everything thoroughly and answered all our questions fully. We didn't feel rushed at any time. He was very good with our 7 year old daughter and made sure she understood everything too. We would highly recommend him.

Excellent! My son was treated by Mr Khemani for problems with hearing loss due to excessive wax. We have been trying drops and various treatments from our GP for months with no success whatsoever. One quick trip to see Mr Khemani and all was fixed in just a few minutes. He performed suction of the wax and my child could hear again! Mr K was really patient and so good with my son, he can normally be so shy of doctors but warmed to Mr K really quickly. I cannot recommend his care and service enough. A truly exceptional service.

My daughter recently had a tonsillotomy under the care of Mr Khemani. The procedure took less than an hour and we were home on the same day. Her throat was quite painful for 2 days after but the pain subsided quickly over the next week and by 7 days post-op she was virtually pain free. She did not experience any bleeding or infection. In general the pain and discomfort was much less following surgery than we expected and she was eating normally on the day of the procedure and did not have any ice cream at all). All through the process we knew exactly what to expect and are very pleased with all aspects of her treatment.

Our son's experience of being treated by Mr Khemani was faultless. From start to finish we were treated respectfully and with great care. We were kept fully informed at all times and our son's operation could not have gone better. I cannot recommend Mr Khemani enough - he was thoroughly professional and compassionate too. I would not hesitate to use his skills and expertise again. My son has made a marvellous recovery which is all thanks to Mr Khemani.
