I can't make any suggestions about how care from Mr Ahmad could be improved. He carried out a total hip replacement after a fall, with excellent results and no complications, leading to a rapid recovery of function. He visited his patients almost every day during recovery, and was ready to answer any question. The supporting team, on Coyle ward at the Whittington hospital, also provided consistently kind and encouraging care, so altogether a great team.

He done a fantastic job on my father’s knee replacement and explained everything in detailed to him. If my father was not able to understand Dr Ahmed was happy to explain to a family member over the phone regarding the procedure and to discuss any other concerns we had relating to the operation.

On the occasions when we have met Mr Ahmad has treated me like a rational, fellow human being which, at my age, is not always one's experience! This approach extended to the team assisting him, and from my point of view the whole operation experience was positive and without any stress or anxiety to me. He performed an extremely 'neat' operation and I'm left with a barely visible and completely comfortable scar and a leg that works as it should. In follow-up conversations he has listened and clearly taken note of what I've said. I really can't see how this experience and the care given could be improved.

I was experiencing a good deal of on going pain for over year which was impacting on my work and social life. Once there was clear diagnosis and recommended treatment (total knee replacement)I found it hard to understand and accept the delays to treatment, particularly as I had undergone a particularly painful Athroscopy procedure that I was told was preparatory to the knee replacement op. Dr Ahmed seemed to hear and understand the difficulties and pain I was experiencing and drove the plan forward to my eventual successful knee operation - I am now pain free when standing of walking which is making an obvious difference to my life..

I felt my appointment was quick as my situation is not of critical concern. I would like to have had more time to express my goals for my knee and what time period I could expect them to be completed in however.
