I saw Mr Ahmad back in November 2019 when he told me that he would put me on a waiting list for my knee replacement. When Covid - 19 arrived I expected any appointment to be delayed until the winter of 2020 at the earliest. It came as a real surprise to be contacted by Mr Ahmad's department in mid-June to be told they would have a slot for me in the following 3-5 weeks. In due course a date and time were arranged for my operation to take place at theSchoen Clinic in Wigmore Street for 29 th July. Everything went according to plan, the operation took place on the appointed day and I was well looked after for the next 3 nights. I have seen Mr Ahmad twice since leaving the clinic and found him to be understanding of my questions which he has answered completely. I would trust Mr Ahmad to operate on my other knee which is just as bad.

I had my first appointment with the surgeon who performed my right knee replacement operation, Mr Mudussar Ahmad, on 27 February 2020. He was very pleasant, showed a lot of care in his manner towards me, asked questions while he examined both my knees and listened carefully to my responses. He showed me the x-rays and explained what I was looking at so I could understand why my knees were so painful. We discussed the methods I'd been using to manage the pain over the previous two and a half years and why they were no longer helping. I was relieved to be put on the waiting list for a knee replacement because my life had become seriously restricted due to the pain. I felt confident that he was giving me his full attention during this appointment and would do his best to help me walk properly again. I saw him just before the operation and he explained what he was going to do. I saw him after the operation when he checked how I felt. I've seen him at the two weeks' post-op appointment where he examined my knee and its mobility and was very encouraging. I have just seen him at the six weeks' post-op appointment and we are both delighted at the result. The main feature I would pass on to other doctors is the focus and the empathy. I felt that Dr Ahmad never forgot he was dealing with a human being - as well an arthritic knee replacement.

Further the my knee surgery I found Mr Mudussar Ahmed to be caring and understanding. He did go in the great details to explain when and how the surgery will go ahead and as result of Mr Mudussara Ahmed reassurance I feel safe to go ahead with my knee surgery. I am happy to say that my surgery was successful therefore I would like to say big thank you to Mr Mudussara Ahmed.

Dr M.Ahmad and his amazing team done a great job to fix my shoulder separation after a bike accident, From the very first moment I knew they will make everything right - they simply cared what happened to me and in every single moment I could see that they are doing their best. Previously, I had pretty bad experiences with other hospitals, but now I know that I was just meeting wrong people. Dr Mudussar Ahmad and personnel raised the bar for other hospitals, of how the health service should look like and how to take care of patient. I'm very grateful that I had to meet so professional team, leaded by great specialist. Now, few weeks after my operation, I'm rapidly coming back to my normal life. As they promised: 'Patryk, You'll be back on track in no time'.

Mr. Ahmad is a very fine surgeon. His approach with myself, my husband and my son Patrick (the patient) was admirable. From the moment my son attended the Whittington with his badly broken arm his care was excellent. Mr Ahmad was reassuring and calm in explaining the surgery required and we all felt very confident in his care. The second operation to remove the nails from the ulna and radius bones was delayed due to the Corona Virus crisis however as soon as was possible Mr Ahmad rang me to arrange the procedure for 3rd June 2020. All went well with the operation and Patrick was able to get back to normal activities such as cricket and tennis only 2 weeks after the operation. Mr. Ahmad was extremely attentive after the operation and rang me 2 or 3 times over a couple of weeks to check how Patrick's arm was and if there were any issues at all. I have nothing but praise for the way my son was cared for by Mr Ahmad.
