My total hip replacement operation conducted by Mr Ahmad was very successful and the neat 'wound' is healing very well. At the post operative meeting a week later he was attentive and encouraging. At the follow-up meeting several weeks later he gave me useful feedback on my fitness progress and good advice in response to my various questions, with an offer of further assistance if needed. My thanks to him for all his skill and care. A quite separate and general point - I would have appreciated a little more advice afterwards from the physiotherapy department apart from six diagrams.

Dr Ahmad explained my X-rays to me and showed me the improvement between X-rays. He checked that I was happy to be discharged and told me what I could do if I had any problems or concerns. I felt very reassured when leaving the hospital.

I was pleased that, because the condition of my hip was severe, Mr. Ahmad dealt with it quickly. It was good and encouraging to receive phone calls from him. It's wonderful to be walking again! It's still with a limp as the other hip remains to be done, and I'm sure he will schedule it as soon as the NHS backlog and Covid allow.
