There isn’t much more I can add to the many glowing reports of Mr Cope’s professionalism except to say that at 56 I was initially very apprehensive about having a total hip replacement and for that reason, put it off longer than was necessary. However, Mr Cope put my fears to rest and answered all my questions about my ceramic joint. After 6 months I was back walking up mountains and had my life back.
I cannot thank the team at Fulwood Hall enough- they are all so kind and the care is second to none. Thank you all and thank you Marcus Cope.

From initial consultation/ knee injections a couple of years ago, right through to my 6 month post op consultation I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Cope. He has a very good manner, he explained all of my options clearly outlining all of the possible side effects in layman's terms, and managed to fit me into his diary at a very early stage, to carry out my knee replacement. I am exceptionally pleased with the outcome , I had minimal pain within two or three days of the operation , the scar is barely noticeable and most importantly my mobility is virtually back to 100%. Not only was Mr Cope excellent so were the whole team that looked after me both pre-op and post-op. The physiotherapy treatment was also excellent. I would highly recommend Mr Cope, all of the staff involved with my treatment and Renacres Hospital itself to anyone seeking similar treatment.

Mr Cope is an amazing, caring professional. He carried out my hip replacement in October with great efficiency and the whole team at Renacres hospital under Mr Copes guidance are superb. I could not wish for better care.

Just had total hip replacement by Mr Cope at Fulwood Hall hospital and have to say that the care and attention to the slightest concerns were all allayed by Mr Cope.
Had op at 4:40 pm Tuesday 18th June and am sat at home now after being discharged at 2 pm yesterday.
Getting around well with crutches and being Scottish do not have a good enough command of the English language to say how very straightforward this difficult time was made by Mr Cope and his team.

I am a high volume hip and knee replacement surgeon, performing about 500 hips and knees a year. I have previously worked at Southport and Ormskirk DGH from 2007 to 2017 and was the Clinical Director for the last three years.
I now work full time in the private sector seeing NHS (choose and book patients) and private patients. My time is split between two hospitals in the Ramsay group.
I can be seen at Renacres Hall Hospital (Ormskirk and Southport) and Fulwood Hall Hospital (Preston).
