Very professional, everything explained in great and easy to understand detail.
The operation (knee replacement) was a very smooth and relaxed process, aftercare, physio and follow up appointments were very thorough and I am now finally pain free.
I would not hesitate in recommending Mr. Cope to anyone.

I was referred by my GP after an MRI scan with knee problems, I was seen very promptly on the NHS and on the initial visit Mr Cope gave me 3 treatment options. I opted for a steroid injection which was carried out there and then, so no return visit needed for treatment. After a few days the problem and pain that I had endured for 4/5 months had gone and my life returned to normal. At my follow up appointment 7 weeks later he discharged me from his care but advised me if I had any future issues to get in touch.
I cannot praise this Doctor highly enough, he is very approachable, has a good manner with the patient, listens to your medical problem as you are the person living with the issue and very quickly resolves the problem.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Mr Cope performed a hip replacement for me in October 2018. I have nothing but praise for his work and his listening skills. He explained everything to me and I was reassured totally before my operation.

My hip surgery was not at all the traumatic experience that I had expected. In fact I have no trouble at all from the day my operation wa performed to now six weeks later. In am already walking without a crutch about the house and for short distances outside. Mr Cope and the staff at Renacres Hospital are all to be commended for their very p roffessional treatment and aftercare. The hospital us beautifully clean throughout and very friendly. Thankyou so much.

I am a high volume hip and knee replacement surgeon, performing about 500 hips and knees a year. I have previously worked at Southport and Ormskirk DGH from 2007 to 2017 and was the Clinical Director for the last three years.
I now work full time in the private sector seeing NHS (choose and book patients) and private patients. My time is split between two hospitals in the Ramsay group.
I can be seen at Renacres Hall Hospital (Ormskirk and Southport) and Fulwood Hall Hospital (Preston).
