Mr Lim found the time to squeeze an appointment in the see me following a surgery that I had the previous week. To be clear, my recent surgery was not related to ENT.
Following my surgery, I sustained some problems with my throat which I did not have before.
Mr Lim was very professional throughout my appointment. He listened to me to and talked to me about my throat so that I understood exactly what had happened to it and what he could do to help me. Mr Lim examined my throat thoroughly and could see the problem that I waS experiencing. After examination, we returned to his consultation room and he explained again what he saw and gave a plan going forward. I asked plenty of questions, all of which Mr Lim answered fully to be best of his ability. We discussed ‘what if’ things didn’t improve and again, Mr Lim explained what could happen next if things didn’t improve.
Following a course of medication, my symptoms have improved which is what Mr Lim had hoped and I have no further need to see Mr Lim again
However I would not hesitate to see Mr Lim again if I had to see another ENT specialist. Very professional and very nice man.

I'm very happy with the treatment. Apparently my ear is very difficult to clean as I have two cavities after two serious operations in the past. I was struggling with infections for the last few years and NHS wasn't doing their job properly with regards to cleaning both cavities. After dr Lim removed some crust that NHS left there my ear is still fine after 6 months. Also I had a lot of doctors trying to clean my ear in my local hospital and its always painful and I don't always feel confident about my safety when they do it but dr Lim is so smooth and confidential that he is another level. Thank you.

I've had the pleasure to meet Mr Lim few days ago. My daughter had a very bad ear infection and we went to see him for a follow up check. Was late in the evening however Mr Lim went above and beyond to make sure that he checked every detail. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He also took the time to explain us every aspect of the infection and to reassure us that she is fully recovered.
Mr Lim has all my trust. I highly recommend him. Very friendly, professional, and thorough.

Mr Lim is able to provide expert management for most ENT conditions to patients at a various private hospitals in North Kent. He delivers easily accessible services to patients in Dartford, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, West Malling, and Rochester, by virtue of the number of locations at which we operate.
Mr Lim has been a consultant ENT surgeon since 2008, dividing his time between his work in the private sector with his NHS work based at Medway Maritime Hospital.
He qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School. He trained in general surgery and then ear, nose and throat surgery. He completed his specialist ENT training, covering all aspects of ENT, in the south west Thames region and undertook sub-specialist training in both paediatric ENT surgery, and rhinology and facial plastic surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, St George’s Hospital in London and also in Zurich, Switzerland.
He was awarded a fellowship by the University of London for his work in the field of ear surgery. Subsequently this work lead to him being awarded the Doctorate of Medicine by the same institution.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England having successfully completed three separate examinations in General Surgery, ENT surgery, and Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck surgery. He has been on the GMC’s Specialist Register for Otolaryngology since 2008.
He is enthusiastic about providing high quality ENT care and is continually working towards improving and expanding the provision of ENT services in the region. He places great emphasis on maintaining his record of excellent communication with patients and medical colleagues. He was appointed as Lead Clinician for the ENT department at Medway from 2011-2017, and as Clinical Director for surgery from 2016-2018.
