This surgeon is a people person. Puts you at your ease and explains the procedure. A year on had my review and both he and I were impressed how well the shoulder replacement went. Scar very neat, almost undetectable. Mobility excellent. Back playing golf. Mr Jacob Der Tavitian is an excellent surgeon and I owe his expertise to my amazing mobility. I feel very privileged to have been treated by this gifted man.

From my very first consultation with Mr Der Tavitian I was treated with respect, listened to and felt like a proper plan was put in place for my shoulder surgery. I had a nasty rotator cuff tear and Mr Tavitian explained everything fully and what was required to repair this. My operation went ahead with no issues despite being warned that it was very tricky. I have had no subsequent issues and now have a good range of movement with no pain. I would definitely recommend this Doctor as I felt totally confident in his ability and care.

I Thought I had mad cow's disease, it ended up being frozen shoulders!!.... Jokes aside, I'm recovering from surgery, just over two weeks on and I can see the end of the tunnel. I have a little way to go but considering I've never had surgery before I've done well coping with the pain (said through gritted teeth!!) no seriously, once healed I can start to think about having my other shoulder done, I'm not so nervous now. Dr J Der Tavitian is a brilliant surgeon, calming, friendly and very professional. Huge thanks and warmest regards Jo Elkins

Had surgery yesterday on my torn bicep. A thoroughly nice surgeon and explained everything to happen, along with the anethetist who explained nerve block in detail too, and of course the excellent nurse staff on ward 4 day surgery.

I was booked in for surgery with Mr Der Tavitian on the 01/09/17 at castlehill hospital for a total rupture of my left distal bicep tendon. Mr Der Tavitian explained exactly the procedure the surgery and aftercare, i found him to be really thorough and helpful. I was in surgery for 1hr15mins and all went really well. I would highly recommend Mr Der Tavitian.
