I was seen by Mr Polyzois in March 2019 for a shoulder injury, an operation was recommended as there was a tear in the shoulder. Mr Polyzois explained in detail the procedure that was required to repair my shoulder and that he would do his best to get an appointment as quickly as possible, due to a cancellation I was booked in for an operation for Monday 1st April 2019. On The day of the operation again it was explained to me what was going to happen the operation took place and I was placed in the recovery room and looked after until I was allowed to go home the same afternoon. I have since had physiotherapy for the last 3 months and have had regular appointments with Mr Polyzois. He has always taken the time to listen to my concerns and explain and assist in my recovery. I have felt that the treatment and after care from this operation and the traumatic time I went through, has been second to none. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Polyzois and his team for assisting me in my recovery. Once again, Thank You.

I was referred to Mr Polyzois through my private health care at work as had been diagnosed with frozen shoulder which wasn't improving much with physio and the physio recommended cortisone injections. What an absolutely charming gentleman. I felt completely at ease . He recommended an MRI scan which I had at St Peter's and the very next evening he administered the cortisone injections at the Nuffield and my shoulder started to improve in the next few days. The difference is amazing. Still having physio to strengthen it but I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Polyzois !

I am a Volleyball player who experienced growing pain on my shoulder for almost a year. After few appointments with GP and Physios through GP I didn’t feel better. The pain was still there and growing. Through my private medical insurance I was very fortunate to meat Mr Ioannis Polyzois. What a Gentleman he is! Within a 10 minutes of assessment he knew exactly what was wrong with me. He sent me for a ultrasound scan following the operation that he performed. I had an arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation surgery done in April. I am on the recovery now feeling much better. Thanks to Mr Polyzois knowledge, experience and quick reaction I am able to enjoy my life again without pain. I will come back to my hobby in much better condition and I am delighted with the surgery results. I have full range of movement back. I would like to thank you again for taking good care of me before and after the operation and I wish you all the best in the future.

My husband had a shoulder replacement only three weeks ago By Mr Polyzois. My husband was in one day and out the next. Three weeks later the scar looks minimal and clean, shoulder movement after such a short time is remarkable. And my hubby is 78 years young. So he doesn't have youth on his side! We are just ordinary NHS people who had no idea of procedure and were not in a position to be fussy about 'choosing' a surgeon. As it turned out we could not have ended up in more capable hands. Mr Polyzois is a confident, communicative and reassuring professional on a human level as well as obviously highly skilled at what he does in surgery. Much appreciation and gratitude to ALL the staff involved in this operation, and particularly of course to Mr Polyzois. The NHS gets few enough accolades and not enough praise these days.
